A debestating aerial assult
On Sunday February 11th in the Israel Today online publication a headline read “Israel Launches Devastating Aerial Assault on Syria After F-16 Shot Down Over Galilee.” The article went on to say; “The Israel Air Force hadn’t lost a fighter jet to enemy fire in 34 years, until Saturday, when Iranian and Syrian forces downed an Israeli F-16 over the Galilee. The plane in question was part of a strike force on a retaliatory mission into Syria after an Iranian drone entered Israeli airspace during the early morning hours. The drone was promptly shot down, and then a squadron of Israeli fighters entered Syria to destroy the command centre from which the infiltrator had been remotely piloted. The Israeli planes faced overwhelming anti-aircraft fire. The downed F-16 was hit either directly by an Iranian-supplied Syrian missile, or by shrapnel resulting from an explosive anti-aircraft shell… According to IDF officials, four Iranian and eight Syrian bases were hit, including Syria’s main command and control bunker… In addition to the demoralizing effect of destroying secret bases, Israel also reportedly did significant damage to Syria’s air defences.”
Coming to a climax
When Biblical prophecy starts to come to its climax things start to happen very fast. There is a possible scenario forming in these latest events in the Middle-east that lines up with the Bible. Most of the countries mentioned in the Bible related to eschatology are all Islamic today. Iran is Israel’s most immediate enemy. It is no surprise to know that these command posts/supply depots for Hezbollah on Syrian soil are staffed by enlarge with Iranians hell bent on destroying Israel. I don’t think the Iranian regime really cares about Assad quite frankly. He is being used by Iran. The Iranian regime is spearheading the Shiite crescent and to have that dominion they need to get rid of Assad. Iran wants Syria and Iraq for themselves. Already Saddam Hussein has gone, Gadhafi has gone, and the last ‘independent’ despot Assad must also eventually go for Iran to have complete control over the Shiite crescent.
Damascus will become a “ruinous heap”
It may well be that Israel may be the ones to take out Damascus turning it into a “ruined heap.” Damascus is to be totally destroyed according the Isaiah 17:1. Israel may well be the ones to ‘clean house” with the Assad regime. Added to this if Israel does take out Damascus then they may well enter into a war with Iran which Daniel the prophet speaks about. (Daniel 10:12-14) Also for Israel this will ultimately lead to a war with Turkey when the Ezekiel 38 invasion of Israel occurs. (Daniel 10:20) Turkey is also moving into Syria and they, like Iran, do not really care about Assad either. Erdogan is on the military campaign trail for the revived Turkish Ottoman Empire. Turkey is spearheading the Sunni Crescent which will sweep down into Saudi Arabia, Egypt and into the African continent. Russia supposedly supports the Assad regime at present but will they continue to support Assad if it means an all-out war with Turkey or America for that matter? Added to this the USA have some ground forces already on Syrian soil.
The King of the North and the South
It would seem a war is looming soon? A war between Islam and the west that will see the last King of the North (Turkey backed by Iran) and the King of the South (America and possibly Russia) engage in a war that may possibly draw other nations into this conflict. (Daniel 11:38-45) If Erdogan succeeds in reviving the Turkish Ottoman caliphate with himself as the Caliph it may well be he will be seen by the Muslim world as the promised Mahdi. They are now calling Erdogan of turkey “General Erdogan!” It would seem the man from Turkey fits the Biblical description of the Antichrist. I am persuaded by scripture that Turkey will lead the Ezekiel 38 Invasion force against Israel. For the Islamic world to follow the caliph Mecca has to be taken out and Iran most probably will be the one to do this as part of a 10 nation Islamic federation. “The Beast Empire (Turkey) and its 10 nation Islamic federation will burn the harlot (Mecca-‘Babylon’) with fire.” It will be God’s judgement on ‘Babylon’ (Revelation 17:15-18)
An Islamic army
Once Mecca has gone there will be a vacuum in the Muslim world because the Black Stone in the Kaaba will be gone. The only thing left for millions of Muslims will be to follow a man in the character of Mohammad and this would be the promised Mahdi of Islam. A revived Turkish Ottoman caliphate would rally the whole Muslim world under the banner of the caliph (Mahdi). If you look at past history fundamental Islam has tried to take out Mecca before. As for Russia its very religious roots are Russian Orthodox and Russia is no stranger to previous wars with Turkey. Possibly Russia and America will become allies against Turkey and Iran accompanied by the 200 million man Islamic army that comes across the dried up Euphrates River. It will be a war that will see a third of mankind perish through missiles and possibly some of them armed with nuclear devices. At this time the four horseman of Revelation chapter six will take their last ride across the surface of the earth leading up to the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus the Messiah. (Revelation Chapter 6) (Zechariah 6:1-8) The apostle John saw this last great war and as a first century man tried to explain what he saw. The description he gives looks like he saw missiles being fired from armoured vehicles. (Revelation 9:15-19) It is also a judgement on a Christ hating, Christ rejecting world that has given itself over to evil and occult power. (Revelation 9:20-21) All of this precedes the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus the Messiah.
After the tribulation of those days
As the Lord Jesus said; “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened… “Immediately AFTER the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Matthew 24:21-22, 29-31)
The Blessed Hope
The ‘blessed hope’ for the believer is not a ‘quick’ secret pre-tribulation rapture but the glorious appearing of our great God and saviour the Lord Jesus the Messiah at his Second Coming which will light up the sky as lightening does from east to west. (Matthew 24:27) It will be an event no one will miss! AFTER the Tribulation of those days Jesus described as the Great Tribulation the rapture and resurrection of the elect will take place. (Matthew 24:29-31) This is also our blessed hope as believers!
