The Gathering Storm

In the Online publication Memri it reported on Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s speech given in Ankara last month. When one considers the content of the speech it is clear what the man of Turkey is up to. Extracts from the speech were specific. According to the report it stated; “Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said in an August 30, 2020 speech in Ankara that was uploaded to his official YouTube channel, that Turkey is not a society with an army but a “nation that is an army within itself […] There is no power that can stand in the way of this country.” He said that Turkey will not hesitate to sacrifice martyrs in the fight against its enemies.

Erdoğan asked whether the peoples of Greece, France, and certain countries in North Africa and the Persian Gulf are prepared to make the same sacrifices because of their “greedy and incompetent leaders.” As some historians have said, we are not a society that has an army – we are a nation that is itself an army […] “We combine our technological superiority, our fully developed human resources, and our spiritual power […] With Allah’s permission, there is no power that can stand in the way of this country […] “Now, with a more booming voice, with a more sincere faith, and with more trust in ourselves than yesterday, we say to our enemies: ‘Bring it on.’

Everyone who would stand against us on land, at sea, and in the air has seen Turkey’s legitimacy and its determination in protecting its rights, interests, and capabilities based on international law. Be sure that those who have not seen it will face this reality in the field, at the diplomatic table, and in international platforms. We do not run away from a fight. We will not hesitate to sacrifice martyrs and wounded people in this fight. For our independence and our future, we will not hold back from roaring all together as 83 million people running like a flood over the dams that get in our way. “The real question is this: Can those who oppose us in the Mediterranean Sea and around it accept the risk of the same sacrifices?

Do the people of Greece accept what will happen to them because of their greedy and incompetent leaders? “Are the brotherly peoples of some North African and countries in the Gulf content with their futures growing darker as a result of their greedy and incompetent leaders? The citizens of countries that are tens of thousands of kilometres away and are eyeing Turkey’s democracy, constitutional state, and regional interests – do they realize that this process will turn around and harm them?” (End of extracts)

There is no doubt there is ‘a gathering storm’ looming on the horizon as we see the man from Turkey seeking to resurrect the Turkish Ottoman Empire, not just as a Middle-eastern power, but one that will expand into the European continent and if he can do it into other western democracies. While the Muslim world by and large is still divided it will be unified when their prophesied Mahdi arrives on centre stage in world affairs. The man from Turkey knows this very well and wants to be the one to unite all Muslims everywhere. Not only is he extending Turkish Ottoman power within Turkey but also in Libya, Syria and now in the eastern Mediterranean. He has shown support for Hezbollah who have Ammonium nitrate stored secretly in facilities all over Western Europe from which they can make explosives, a fact not reported in virtually in all main stream media outlets. Most likely one of these facilities was the cause of the recent devastating explosion in Lebanon.

In the past, at the behest of the man from Turkey, he has allowed many Muslims wanting to be trained as terrorists to pass through Turkey into Iraq and Syria where they can receive their training in terrorism and then to go back through Turkey into Europe to carry out acts of terrorism all in the name of Allah the moon-god of war. As for Hamas it is clear that the man from Turkey supports the so called ‘Palestinian’ cause and he is fixated with conquering Jerusalem for the Muslim world. Added to this he supports Hamas.

In the prophet Ezekiel we are told that Turkey will ultimately lead an Islamic invasion force of millions into Israel and that not only will the army be Islamic but other nations will join them. (Ezekiel 38:1-6) The nations are specifically named and they are all Islamic today. There is Gog from the land of Magog; Gog is the name for the Antichrist and Magog today is located in North-central Turkey. Gog we are told is the chief prince or ruler over Meshech located today in western Turkey and Tubal, also located today in South-central Turkey. Persia is mentioned which is modern day Iran. And then you have Cush mentioned being modern day Ethiopia and Put mentioned which may consist of Libya, Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco. Gomer is also mentioned and once again it was located in modern day North east Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijan. Beth-Togarmah is also mentioned and today this region would also be located in Southwest Turkey. Actually Tegarma was an ancient city in Asia Minor.

When you look at these areas today there are millions of Muslims living in these regions. Once the Mahdi arrives on the scene fielding a 200 million strong army would not be a problem as Islamic nations will join him in his jihad in surpassing all other previous Jihads. Muslims in every nation will arise and there will be urban warfare throughout the western democracies that over the years have allowed Islamic migration into their countries and facilitated no go zones in Europe where Islamic law has been allowed to flourish.

When this massive Islamic army with other nations accompanying it comes against Jerusalem they will cover the whole land of Israel like a blanket of locusts. The ptophet Joel foretells this invasion. While historically he describes the Babylonian invasion of Israel in 586BC, prophetically he prophesies for the last days when once again the ‘Babylonians’ (Islam) will invade Israel and Jerusalem. (Joel 1:4) For three and a half years Israel and the whole world will feel the brunt of this invasion and the empire of Islam will explode across the globe.

Having said this there will be nations that will oppose this Islamic army. (Daniel 11:38-40, 44) (Ezekiel 28:6-10) (Micah 5:5-6) Ultimately the one who will end it all will be the Messiah who, when He comes back, will reveal Himself to the Jews in Israel who have survived the Time of Jacob’s Trouble causing them to repent and believe in Him. (Zechariah 12: 10-14; 13:1) He will then lead the armies of heaven, the glorified saints and the surviving remnant in Israel to destroy this massive Islamic army and the armies of other nations that have supported it. We are actually told that Judah will also fight at Jerusalem. (Zechariah 14:14)

These armies of Gog will all be driven into the Eastern Sea (the dead sea) and into the western sea (the Mediterranean Sea) and it’s stench will rise to heaven. (Joel 2:18-21) They will all go down into the pit of Hades in wholesale lots. (Ezekiel 32:17-31) These nations mentioned in Ezekiel are all Islamic today. After the Millennial Messianic Kingdom has been established on earth it will take the Jewish people and Gentiles employed by the Jews to help them in the clean up which will take seven months to bury the dead soldiers and their military equipment and to cleanse the land from defilement. (Ezekiel 39: 11-17)

The Second Coming of the Messiah is our only future hope as His people. This world is like a ticking time bomb that is heading for a conflagration unlike anything that has ever happened before. For the sake of his elect saints and for the very survival of the planet God will send the Messiah our Lord Jesus back to save the day. (Matthew 24:21-22) For those who are still alive and have rejected Him and His salvation it will be the valley of decision and ultimately being consigned to the pit of Hades. However, for the saints who have survived and longed for the Lord Jesus’ Second Coming and have endured to the end they will be saved and filled to overflowing with joy unspeakable and full of glory!

Brothers and sisters do not be greatly alarmed. Tough times are ahead for Israel, for faithful Believers in the Lord Jesus and most certainly for the unsaved world. However, the good news is that our rescue is coming! Let the man from Turkey resurrect the caliphate and fight against Israel and the faithful Body of the Messiah, the faithful Church, but he will never stand for long against the victorious rider on the white Horse accompanied by the armies of heaven and the glorified saints. He is the one whose robes are dipped in the blood of his enemies and whose name is the Word of God. (Revelation 19:11-16) (Isaiah 63:1-6) In that day God Himself will summon the birds of the air to have a great banquet and they will gorge themselves on the bodies of the slain on the mountains of Israel. As for the man of sin and the false prophet they will be thrown alive into the lake of fire to be tormented forever! (Revelation 19:17-21)

Today we see the gathering storm looming on the horizon but when the storm has passed by the Messiah will reign on Mt Zion in the City of David and His reign will be a glorious one indeed! (Isaiah 11:10) As it is written in the Book of Genesis; “The sceptre will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between His feet, until He to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be His!” (Genesis 49:10)
