Will Mecca Burn?

There is a strong possibility that in the near future Iran may hit Saudi Arabia with missiles taking out Mecca and the issue will be over oil. President Trump announced a week ago that he will bring about sanctions against Iran to stop their oil exports so that they will have 0% of their oil exported. Iran’s oil exports makes up 40% of their total economy. President Trump wants to stop oil from coming out of Iran period! According to a report last week in the independent Publication online it stated…

“Donald Trump is halting all waivers from US sanctions for countries which continue to buy oil from Iran. The announcement increases pressure on Iran, which branded the sanctions “illegal”, and primarily affects the five major importers of its oil – China, India and the US treaty allies Japan, South Korea and Turkey. The US president made the decision as part of his administration’s “maximum pressure” campaign on Iran. It aims to eliminate all the country’s revenue from oil exports the US says funds destabilising activities throughout the Middle East and beyond. This decision is intended to bring Iran’s oil exports to zero, denying the regime its principal source of revenue,” the White House said in a statement.

Later on Monday, Mr Trump tweeted: “Saudi Arabia and others in OPEC will more than make up the Oil Flow difference in our now Full Sanctions on Iranian Oil.” Announcing the step, secretary of state Mike Pompeo said no more sanctions waivers would be granted when the current batch expire on 2 May, choking off Iranian income that had been more than $50bn (£38.5bn) a year. “The goal remains simply to deprive the outlaw regime of the funds that it has used to destabilise the Middle East for decades and incentivise Iran to behave like a normal country,” Mr Pompeo told reporters at the State Department.”

With America’s ongoing somewhat ‘warm and fuzzy’ relationship with the Saudis, a legacy of the Bush Administration, most likely would see Saudi Arabia become the major oil supplier in the Middle East Region to those countries now getting their oil from Iran. In the Bible we are told that in future days that God’s judgement will be aimed at the heart of the Muslim world for the way it has treated His people.

Jeremiah the prophet writes; “Therefore hear the plan of the Lord which He has planned against Edom, and His purposes which He has purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: surely they will drag them off, even the little ones of the flock; surely He will make their pasture desolate because of them. The earth has quaked at the noise of their downfall. There is an outcry! The noise of it has been heard at the Red Sea. Behold, He will mount up and swoop like an eagle and spread out His wings against Bozrah; and the hearts of the mighty men of Edom in that day will be like the heart of a woman in labour.” (Jeremiah 49:20-22)

Edom today is not only Southern Jordan but encompasses the Saudi Arabian Peninsula including Mecca. Teman today is also located in Saudi Arabia. We are told in the prophet Jeremiah that the destruction of Edom is heard at the Red Sea. It is interesting that at Mecca you have the huge clock tower overlooking the Kaaba which houses the black stone, worshipped and venerated by Muslims around the world. At the top of the Pinnacle of the tower you have the crescent moon. They call this city “Mt Babel.” We know from the book of Genesis that Nimrod built the original city of Babylon and that he tried to build a global empire that was an affront to God in the form of the Tower of Babel. We are told in the book of Genesis that Nimrod “was a mighty hunter before the LORD.” However, in the Hebrew he was called “a mighty hunter in the face of God.” In other words he was a rebel. It is said that he wanted to get back at God for sending the flood.

Nimrod’s Babylon resurfaces in the book of revelation. We are told that Babylon is described as; “Mystery Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots and of the Abominations of the Earth.” (Revelation 17:5) We are also told that “the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus.” (Revelation 17:6) Back in 2014 a very brave German nun gave a riveting presentation in which she revealed the grisly details of the independent investigation she did of the treatment of Christians in Syria, including the bottling of their blood for sale. The unnamed nun at the time said Muslims were butchering Christians in Syria, draining their blood and then selling the bottles for $100,000 to the Saudis. Apparently, some Muslims believe if they wash their hands in this blood, it is as if they had participated in the slaughter of the Christian, and can then use it to atone for their sins. Today fundamentalist Islam is butchering Christians all over the world. The crossed sword emblem on Islmaic banners and flags says it all!

So then Mecca’s religious roots, lifestyle and culture have their source in the Babylon of Nimrod. Historically Babylon was never destroyed but atrophied over time. Babylon is described in the Bible as a harlot because it was the source of all false religion we see down through history even to the present day. Fundamentalist Muslim nations such as Iran hate Mecca and see it as the harlot of Islam because of its associations with western nations. The city of Mecca is to the fundamentalist Muslims “the woman that rides the scarlet beast” (the empire of Islam) (Revelation 17:3).The crescent moon and star we see today as the emblems of Islam represent Nimrod and his wife and mother Semiramis who had themselves deified and worshipped. These two main ‘deities’ being a male god and female goddess have continued to be worshipped and venerated in the ancient empires of history only their names were changed. All of the different ‘gods’ worshipped today around the world have their religious roots in the Babylon of Nimrod and Semiramis.

Now Babylon is described in several ways in the Bible but it is specifically described as “a City in a desert.” (Revelation 17:3) The cities of Rome and New York reflect the characteristics of Babylon but these cities are not located in a desert by the Red sea. However, Mecca is. The trade Mecca has is for the most part done via the Red Sea.  Jeremiah tells us that the noise of Babylon’s destruction is heard at the Red Sea. As he writes; “The earth has quaked at the noise of their downfall. There is an outcry! The noise of it has been heard at the Red Sea.” (Jeremiah 49:21)

The apostle John tells us that this harlot sits on many waters and that “these waters are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages and that the Beast Empire (fundamentalist Jihad minded Islam) burns this harlot (apostate Islam) with fire. Iran has long held a desire to destroy Mecca. The Saudis to this day are scared of Iran. This is why the Saudi princes are ‘cozing up’ to America. Mecca will benefit from the sanctions against Iranian oil exports. This may well make Iran jealous and will possibly bring about a missile attack on Mecca, the City that rules over the kings of the earth. (Revelation 17: 15-18) When this city is hit by missiles it burns.

John also tells us that the sea merchants who have traded with the city of Babylon stand afar off and lament over its burning. The fallout from its fiery destruction makes the land inhabitable. The merchants weep because the source of their economies has collapsed. The “maddening wine of her adulteries” being the oil, that has driven the nations mad with greed and opulence. This city literally goes up in flames and smoke along with the Saudi Arabian oil reserves underground. (Revelation 18: 15-19) While the wicked nations that have traded with her wail and mourn the heavens rejoice because God has treated ‘Babylon’ in the same way they have treated His people and because of the blood they have been shed globally. This is Islam today! (Revelation 18:20-24)

Isaiah the prophet tells us that the oil reserves under the desert of the Saudi Arabian peninsula will one day burn. Isaiah writes; “For the LORD has a day of vengeance, a time of retribution for Edom’s hostility against Zion. Her streams will be turned to tar, and her soil to sulphur; her land will become a blazing pitch (oil). It will not be quenched—day or night. Its smoke will ascend forever. From generation to generation it will lie desolate; no one will ever pass through it again.” (Isaiah 34:8-10) This resonates with John’s description of the destruction of the harlot city (Revelation 18:18) Notice that Edom is mentioned again in Isaiah and that the oil reserves underground will burn. This is Saudi Arabia today.

History has a way of repeating itself. It was the Medio-Persian Empire that conquered Babylon but the city itself was never destroyed. Alexander the Great made it his headquarters because it was a beautiful city. Now in the Bible we are told that this city in the desert will be destroyed by Iran. (Historically the Medio-Persian Empire) This destruction is yet to come in the future.

Isaiah tells us this when he writes; “This is an oracle concerning the Desert by the Sea (the Red Sea): Like whirlwinds sweeping through the Negev, an invader comes from the desert, from a land of terror (Iran). A dire vision is declared to me: “The traitor (Saudi Arabia) still betrays, and the destroyer (Iran) still destroys. Go up, O Elam! (Persia / Iran) Lay siege, O Media! (The Kurds today) I will put an end to all her groaning.” (Isaiah 21:1-2)

It may be noted that if the Iranian regime continues their nuclear programme and are not stopped then the day may come when they will actually launch missiles against American cities and this latest round of sanctions against the Iranian regime may well precipitate a missile strike on American soil once Iran has the capability to do this. Undoubtedly President Trump’s hard line decision to stop Iranian oil exports has not gone down well with the regime in Iran but has boosted the opportunity for the Saudis to increase their oil exports to those nations that have previously been dealing with Iran for their oil.

Also it may well be that the sanctions against Iranian oil exports become such a bitter pill for the Iranian regime to swallow that in the bitterness of their spirit and with jealous outrage they may well take out Mecca with missiles? God remembers his saints and those who persecute them and He has said; “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay. In due time their foot will slip; for their day of disaster is near, and their doom is coming quickly!” (Deuteronomy 32:35) While Iran may be the nation to take out the harlot Mecca, the cities destruction will be sanctioned by the LORD. (Revelation 17:16-18) God will deal with the Iranian regime when they join the Invasion force that will attack Israel in the future. The Iranian armies will fall on the mountains of Israel.

So then, in God’s Word we are told that the city of Babylon is a city in the desert by the Red Sea that will burn and its destruction will be heard at the Red Sea! This city would have to be Mecca. Will Mecca burn? Time will tell of course, but time is rapidly running out as the world rushes headlong towards the climax of the ages, namely, the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus the Messiah!

As the prophet Nahum writes; “The LORD is a jealous and avenging God; the LORD is avenging and full of wrath. The LORD takes vengeance on His foes and reserves wrath for His enemies. The LORD is slow to anger and great in power; the LORD will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. His path is in the whirlwind and storm, and clouds are the dust beneath His feet.” (Nahum 1:2-3)
