The God of Abraham, isaac and Jacob
According to a report on Thursday this week in the ‘Israel Today’ online publication it has been revealed that Israel has been continuing to conduct airstrikes in Syria after the major confrontation with the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps in the war-torn country on the night of May 10. According to the report earlier this week when these Israeli air strikes in Syria occurred Iranian missiles could not land on Israeli soil or take out their jet fighters. No doubt the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob was fighting alongside the armies of Israel! Daniel the prophet had a vision from the LORD and in that vision Daniel’s Messiah spoke to him personally. “Soon I will return to fight against the prince (principality) of (over) Persia (Iran)” (Daniel 10:20)
A Great war in the Latter days
Daniel’s Messiah our Lord Jesus spoke to him from the realm of eternity about a great war in the latter days that Israel would be engaged in but that He, Israel’s Messiah and Michael the Prince over Israel, would take the fight to Israel’s enemies being Iran. The Messiah our Lord Jesus had revealed His eternal Deity and Glory to Daniel (Vs.5-6) This is our Lord Jesus the Messiah Ezekiel and John saw in His Eternal Glory (Ezekiel 1:26-28; 2:1-2) (Revelation 1:12-18)
Standing with Israel
Already the Messiah and Michael had been engaging these principalities in the unseen spiritual realm in the atmosphere between heaven and earth in eternity and outside of time as we know it down here on earth. This fight was over Israel’s survival in the last days. (Daniel 10:1-12, 20) Already the LORD is fighting Israel’s enemies and Michael the Prince who protects the Jewish people is also engaged in this great end-time battle. He will also stand with Israel in the Time of Jacob’s Trouble. (Daniel 12:1-2) The LORD is shielding Jerusalem at present as earlier this past week 32 Iranian missiles sent towards Israel had no effect with 4 intercepted and the rest falling on Syrian soil. Was this a coincidence? Then over 100 anti-aircraft missiles were fired at 28 Israeli warplanes conducting the bombing raids into Syria and none of these planes were hit and all of the Israeli jets returned safely to their bases. Was this a coincidence?
Divine protection
There is nothing to compare with the way the angels deflect those missiles aimed at Israel. In the war between Israel and their enemies in 1948, 1973 and in 1967 there is no doubt that the angels of God were working overtime! The angels always watch over those who will inherit salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus the Messiah. As the writer to the Hebrews states; “Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?” (Hebrews 1:14) Indeed the Psalmist wrote; “Like birds hovering overhead, the LORD Almighty will shield Jerusalem; He will shield it and deliver it, He will ‘pass over’ it and will rescue it.” (Isaiah 31:5)
The Time of Trouble for Jacob
The Time of Jacob’s Trouble still lies ahead for Israel when not even their air force and military forces or technology or prowess in battle will be able to save them from annihilation at the hands of their enemies. However, they will never be annihilated as the LORD will see to it personally; consequently Israel’s annihilation will never happen! At that time after being terribly savaged by their enemies they will call on the name of the LORD and the surviving remnant in Israel will see Him whom they have pierced coming in the clouds of heaven in great splendour and glory to save them and they will mourn for Him and repent with tears of sorrow and inexpressible joy. (Zechariah 13:8-9) (Zechariah 12:10-14) Israel will be saved out of this Time of Great Trouble. (Jeremiah 30;1-6) Then our Lord Jesus the Messiah will ‘clean House big time’ with Israel’s enemies! (Zechariah 12:1-9; 14:1-5) (Joel 2:20; 3: 1-3) (Isaiah 63:1-6) (Revelation 19:11-21) Islam, the main player in this end-time scenario will be thoroughly destroyed from the face of the earth! Wiped out! (Isaiah 34:5-17)
When the Lion of Judah Roars!
As Isaiah writes; “The LORD will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the heavens will tremble. But the LORD will be a refuge for His people, a stronghold for the people of Israel.” (Joel 3:16) When the lion of Judah roars the nations tremble!
