(Daniel 7:8) “While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that spoke boastfully.”
It has been reported in an online article published in a well known Online Media Website, if it is true, that President Erdogan is now willing to invite Hamas leaders to live in Turkey. If this is the case ad the report said it would turn him into the spiritual father of a terrorist group that seeks to destroy Israel and replace it with an Islamic state. It now remains to be seen whether the international community, including some Arab countries such as Egypt and Saudi Arabia, demand that Turkey distances itself from Hamas.
A Hamas move to Turkey would mean the terrorist group would continue masterminding and carrying out terrorist attacks against Israel while under the protective eyes of the Erdogan regime. According to the Telegraph Online Publication back in December last year it was reported that Turkey was allowing senior Hamas operatives to plot attacks against Israel from Istanbul which the Telegraph was able to disclose, as President Recep Tayyip Erdogan played host to the terrorist group’s leaders at the time.
According to the report ranscripts of Israeli police interrogations with suspects showed that senior Hamas operatives were using Turkey’s largest city to direct operations in Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank, including an assassination attempt earlier last year on the mayor of Jerusalem. Apparently Israel had repeatedly told Turkey that Hamas was using its territory to plan attacks, but earlier that week in December 2019 Mr Erdogan met Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas, and Turkish intelligence agents to maintain close contact with the group’s operatives in Istanbul. At the time Mr Erdogan said; “We will keep on supporting our brothers in Palestine.”
Right now everyone is focusing on the COVID-19 Epidemic and on China. It is also clear with the events transpiring in the South China Sea that there may be a future conflict in the making as China is moving ahead with its expansionist agenda. Even a somewhat ‘veiled’ threat from America does not seem to deter China’s leaders from their goal of a Chinese dominated world. The “radar” of the global media is well and truly focused on the Pandemic and China but there is this other situation that involves the possibility of Turkey partnering with Hamas that has been overshadowed by all of this COVID-19 business.
If this latest report is true concerning Turkey and Hamas then Turkey’s real agenda is being enacted by stealth and by and large going “under the radar” of the global media. It is clear from his own previous public statements condemning Israel that President Erdogan does not like Israel and believes that Jerusalem should be solely for the Palestinian Arabs. Last year he called on all Muslims in Israel to ‘flood’ the Temple Mount in East Jerusalem. If indeed the reports are true that President Erdogan is embracing Hamas and is willing to have them live in Turkey it will be clear whose side President Erdogan is really on. Being a strong advocate of the Muslim Brotherhood and its ideology for a global system of government that enforces Sharia law on the masses, his design is to see this implemented in a resurrected Turkish Ottoman Caliphate. No doubt his ‘globetrotting activities’ have this end in view.
Daniel the prophet had a vision from the Lord concerning four beast empires that would arise in the earth and the vision pertained to future history and to the end of the age. The apostle John also saw the same four beast empires but puts them into reverse order. (Revelation 13:1-2) John mentions Babylon as the last empire because the future empire of the man of sin will have its roots in the ancient Babylon of Nimrod, a major type of the man of sin, who will seek to build an empire that reaches into the heavens in defiance of God. Nimrod’s empire was a Middle-Eastern Empire. John takes a past event that occurred in Genesis and applies it to a future event in the Book of Revelation. Nimrod in the Book of Genesis was ‘a pattern’ of the one to come at the end of this age who exults himself above God and seeks to be worshipped as God. (Daniel 11:36) (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4)
In his vision Daniel describes these for beasts. Firstly, he saw a beast that was like a lion which was Babylon. Secondly, he saw a beast that looked like a bear which was Persia. Thirdly, he saw a beast which looked like a leopard which was the Greco Roman Empire. The fourth beast empire that Daniel saw was not the Roman Empire but it was the empire of Islam. The Roman Empire was able to absorb the culture, ideology, deities, philosophies, military strategies and the governmental system of Greece. This fourth empire could not integrate itself with the Greco Roman world. “It crushed and devoured its victims and trod underfoot whatever was left and it was different from all of the empires that preceded it.” Daniel saw that this fourth beast was unlike any other beast empire before it and very frightening.
This beast empire also had ten horns. (Daniel 7:7-8, 19) Historically it was the Turkish Ottoman Empire that toppled Rome. The western leg of the Roman Empire fell to the barbarian invaders in 476 AD. It was not until 1453, around 1,000 years later when the eastern leg of Rome fell to the Turkish Ottoman Empire.
Islam could not assimilate with any other culture because of its ideology taught in the Quran and the Hadith. It is the same today as we see the western empires being hijacked by Islam especially through Islamic migration and refugees. In 2015 Merkel of Germany took in around a million refugees and all of them were from Muslim countries. Recently they have still been trying to enter Europe via Greece at the behest of President Erdogan. This ‘migration’ of refuges he was trying to get into Europe via Greece was part and parcel of his somewhat hidden agenda to take Europe for Islam, something his Turkish Ottoman predecessors in past history have long desired, especially Rome, the home of the Vatican, being the very heart and hub of ‘apostate’ western Christendom.
There is already an Islamic Trojan Horse in the heart of the western democracies especially in Europe, which, by and large, are morally and spiritually bankrupt and on the road to another economic recession unlike any other one in the past. European nations are now fragmented.
Now Daniel also saw that this fourth beast empire had ten horns. (Daniel 7:7) Daniel was seeing a future Empire that was made up of 10 kingdoms. “Horns” in Bible Prophecy are rulers or individuals ruling over specific empires or kingdoms. This beast empire surfaces again in Book of Revelation and has ten subservient kings or kingdoms associated with it over which this beast empire rules and “calls the shots.” (Revelation 7:12)
For over 600 years the Turkish Ottoman Empire ruled in the Middle-east including Israel and even into parts of Europe. Then in 1922 the Turkish Ottoman Caliphate was disbanded after the British forces had defeated the Ottoman Turks in WW1 and liberated Jerusalem from Turkish occupation, something that Turkey has never forgotten to this day.
This first beast empire in Revelation 13 had received a seemingly mortal wound but it had recovered. (Revelation 13:3) Its recovery would ultimately see its resurrection around the world which we see in the second Beast Empire also in Revelation 13. The first beast empire arose out of the sea, most likely the Mediterranean Sea. It was a Middle-Eastern Empire.
The Second Beast Empire came up out of the earth, in other words it was the first beast empire resurrected in the second beast empire which exercised the authority of the first beast empire. It was the same one resurrected! The ten kings or horns gave their allegiance to this beast empire. (Revelation 13:12, 17:12-13) Today there is no doubt this beast empire is Islam. The source of this beast empire’s power was ‘the dragon’ a metaphor for Satan. (Revelation 13:4) (Revelation 12:3)
In Daniel’s vision he also saw “a little horn” which sprang up among the ten horns and overthrew three of them. This ‘little horn’ came up out of obscurity but had satanic power and “a mouth that spoke boastfully.” (Daniel 7:8, 11) This is the man of sin. (Daniel 11:36) (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4) Because this “little horn” will have supernatural power the whole world virtually will worship this empire’s ideology and its Caliph. (Revelation 13:3-4)
The only ones that will not go along with the system of government and ideology will be faithful Jews and Christians, and this beast empire with its ‘horn,’ namely the man of sin, will persecute the saints of the Most High God. (Daniel 21, 25, 12:7b) (Revelation 13:3-4) Already this beast empire is persecuting the saints in every Islamic country today, It may well be that this “little horn” is growing in power and stature but has as yet not come centre stage on world affairs. Satan has not as yet entered him but when he does the whole world will be astonished!
I would suggest that if President Erdogan of Turkey succeeds in resurrecting the Turkish Ottoman Empire and is this “little horn” Daniel saw in his vision from the Lord, then he will succeed in establishing ten subservient Islamic kingdoms as well, three of which he will pull up by the roots! If you look at all of the geographical locations and nations associated with Biblical prophecy they are all Islamic enclaves today and persecute faithful belivers in the Lord Jesus. The only one who can put an end to this beast empire with its confederation of ten Islamic nations is the Messiah Himself that both Daniel and John saw in their visions. (Daniel 7:11) (Revelation 19:19-21)
Only after the Messiah has destroyed the “little horn” and his beast empire, will the saints inherit the Messianic Kingdom on earth and not before, much to the chagrin of those advocating Kingdom Dominion, Kingdom Now theology! (Daniel 7:9-13, 18, 22 26) A victorious and triumphant Kingdom of God is seen in Daniel’s vision of Nebuchadnezzar’s statue where the huge rock, not cut out by human hands, smashed the statue at its feet. This vision depictes the Messiah destroying all of the earthly empires arrayed against God and smashing them all together at the one time and then that rock filling the whole earth. (Daniel 2:34-35, 44-45) This rock represented the Lord Jesus Himself and the Kingdom of God being established by His atoning work as the Messiah on the cross. The rock also represents the Gospel of the Kingdom being preached to all of the nations of the world and ultimately being physically established on earth by the Messiah Himself at his Second Coming.
As Daniel writes; “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like the Son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days (God on his throne in the heavens) and was led into His presence (a picture of the resurrection and ascension of the Lord Jesus) He (the Messiah) was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshipped Him. His Dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and His kingdom is one that will never be destroyed!” (Daniel 7:13-14)
