(Daniel 11: 40b) “He will invade many countries and sweep through them like a flood. He will also invade the Holy land.”
Yesterday in the online publication of Israel Unwired a headline read; “Turkey and Iran are set to shake the West.” According to the article it stated; “Turkey’s leader President Erdogan is the most ambitious Middle East ruler. He has his eyes on regional hegemony in both the Middle East and Europe. His detente with the Mullahs of Iran has afforded him the ability to drive the Kurds from Northern Syria as well as being able to solidify his control over the same area using Turkmen militias loyal to him. Both Iran and Turkey share similar goals of conquering the world in the name of Islam. While Turkey is Sunni and Iran Shiite, their shared goals overlapping enemies makes their detente necessary in order to push outward under the banner of Islamic Totalitarianism. This is why the current realignment with Israel being the fulcrum between Greece, Cyprus and the Sunni Gulf States is key in pushing back on the these two country’s expansion.”
As we see the rise of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Turkey in the Middle-East allying itself with Iran, even with their Sunni and Shiite divide, we see a direct threat to European sovereignty. In a public speech earlier this week in Turkey President Erdoğan clearly saw Muslims in France and in wider Europe as being singled out because if their Islamic faith and practices. As for the beheading of the teacher in France nothing was mentioned in his speech. Added to this his hostility towards Macron is clear saying that Macron needed mental treatment over his attitude towards Islamism. Erdoğan stated “Macron needs treatment on the mental level. What else can be said to a head of state who does not understand freedom of belief and who behaves in this way towards millions of people living in his country who are members of a different faith?
This was undoubtedly his response to Macron’s declared effort to stamp out radical Islamism from France after the beheading of the French history teacher by a young radical Muslim. Turkey has also recalled their ambassador from France. It can be noted that when one nation recalls its ambassador from another country it can indicate that it is about to go to war with that country. When we see the presence of French naval vessels in the Eastern Mediterranean to oppose Turkey’s militancy in claiming its rights to drill for natural gas, we can see the possibility of a naval engagement between France and Turkey.
It seems clear that the man from Turkey is moving towards an all-out war with Europe. In his speech deriding Macron and France’s determination to stamp out radical Islamism, Erdoğan also lashed out at Other European countries he considered to be those who continue to perpetrate attacks on Islam. We know that Iran will ultimately join the Invasion force led by Turkey against Israel. (Ezekiel 38:5) There is no doubt a war is looming in the Middle-East that will ultimately see other nations drawn into the maelstrom of this ever increasing hostility between Islam and the west.
We are told in the Book of Daniel that the King of the North will speak boastfully against God, and exult himself above all other ‘gods’ and honour the god of fortresses and with the help of his foreign ‘god’ attack the mightiest of fortresses. (Daniel 11:36-39) This clearly depicts the character of Islam, The insignia of crossed swords pointing upwards on Islamic flags and banners clearly depict conquest by the sword. As we see the Arab states starting to align themselves with Israel and with the west, something not seen in previous history, it is clear that they see the rise of Turkey, Iran and a growing number of fundamentalist Islamic states increasing in their militancy to enforce radical Islam globally.
There is no doubt that Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is leading this aggression against all nations that do not adhere to fundamentalist Islam and to the ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood perpetrated and promoted by the man from Turkey. Whether it is in Syria, Libya, or the disputed territory of Nagorno-Karabakh, or in the Eastern Mediterranean, the reality is that Turkey is on a Jihad of global proportions and aligning itself with other fundamentalist Islamic nations that do not approve of the Saudis, the United Arab Emirates and the other Arab states that are most likely to join the peace accord with Israel.
There is no doubt that Turkey and Iran, despite the Sunni and Shiite divide, are willing, if somewhat reluctantly, to join forces to establish an Islamic Empire that will transcend in power and eclipse the historic Turkish Ottoman Empire when it was at the Zenith of its power dominating the entire Middle East, North Africa and expanding into much of Europe. As for the Saudis and Mecca, the home and heart of the Islamic world, radical fundamentalist Islam sees them as having compromised with the western nations. While President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu and other western leaders see the alliance of Arab states with Israel as a great victory for peace in the Middle-East we can also see that such an alignment is only fermenting a war that radical Islam will ultimately wage against Israel and the west and the nations aligned with them.
With the current preoccupation with the Coronavirus outbreak the attention of the world is currently focused on the so called ‘Pandemic’ while the fermentation of a war that will sweep many nations into its vortex goes under the radar of most leaders in the western democracies. Added to this, as we see the Coronavirus disabling the world’s economy we also need to see the Caliphate rising, an empire that will invade many countries and sweep through them like a flood. (Daniel 11:41) This satanically driven empire will only be terminated by the Lord Jesus when He returns to the Mount of Olives.
As for the man of sin who has led the invasion of Israel and subjugation of Jerusalem, he, and the armies of the nations that have accompanied him in his conquests, will all be destroyed on the mountains of Israel by the Messiah Himself our Lord Jesus. It is at Jerusalem that the Caliphate of a resurrected Turkish Ottoman Empire will be overthrown and destroyed. (Daniel 11:45) There is no doubt that the report in Israel Unwired online has rightly recognised that Turkey and Iran are set to shake the west to its very foundations.
A time of great Tribulation, lasting three and a half years is coming for Israel, for the Church and for the unbelieving nations of the world. It will be a nightmare unequalled in past history and never to be equalled again in the future. (Daniel 12:1) However, for the sake of His elect saints and for the very survival of the planet God will cut those days short and send back the Lord Jesus. (Matthew 24:21-22) After He has destroyed all opposition, the Lord Jesus will rule the nations. As Isaiah the prophet writes; “… Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish and sustain it with justice and righteousness from that time and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of Hosts will accomplish this.” (Isaiah 9:7)
