“So you also, when you see these things happening, recognize that the kingdom of God is near.” (Luke 21:25-28, 31)
Two days ago in the online publication Israel Unwired a headline read; “Iran Tests Ballistic Missiles Program as Biden Admin Wants to Re-join Nuclear deal.” The article went on to say; “The Nuclear Deal that Obama entered with Iran was disastrous. And the Biden administration wants to make the same mistake! After the Obama administration so foolishly made a Nuclear Deal with Iran, Trump pulled out of it and reinstated sanctions. The head of the IDF said Israel will take military action if the terrible deal is revived. The Nuclear Deal puts Israel in danger. Not only is Iran a threat to Israel, but is a threat to the entire Middle East and to the entire world for that matter. It is mind-boggling that the Biden administration cannot wake up to that reality. After the Obama administration so foolishly made a Nuclear Deal with Iran, Trump pulled out of it and reinstated sanctions.
The head of the IDF said Israel will take military action if the terrible deal is revived. The Nuclear Deal puts Israel in danger. Not only Israel, actually, but Iran is a threat to the entire Middle East and to the entire world. There are those from the Democratic and the Republican Party who oppose re-joining the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) nuclear deal. They still want to keep the pressure of sanctions on Iran until Iran addresses those things that are objectionable to the US, Israel, and Sunni Arab neighbours. Part of that includes Iran’s ballistic missiles – which it clearly doesn’t care to stop testing. Additionally, Iran’s involvement in Syria, Yemen, Lebanon and Iraq must be dealt with as well. Iran is clear about the way they feel toward the US and Israel. With chants of “Death to America, death to Israel,” how can you trust them? The answer is: You can’t.” (End of article)
There is a kind of insanity among western political leaders regarding Iran. It seems that somehow they seem to ignore the very militant and blatant threat Iran poses to the world, not only to Israel and America but to Europe and the whole Middle-east. Why the leaders of any nation would make any kind of deal with the Iranian regime to supply the means for them to develop their nuclear ambitions defies all logic. Even though there are sanctions against Iran the regime still presses ahead with their nuclear enrichment programme.
Historically and Biblically Persia (Iran today) was always friendly towards Israel. Even the former Shah of Iran favoured Israel until he was deposed in 1979 by the Ayatollah Khomeini’s fundamentalist Islamic regime. The Iranians historically were not Islamic or of Middle-eastern origin but were an Indo-European nomadic people who migrated into southern Iran. Before the Muslim conquest of Persia in the 7th century AD, most Persians followed Zoroastrianism, based on the teachings of the ancient prophet Zoroaster. Even today in Iran multitudes of Iranians do not go along with the militant militaristic ambitions of the Ayatollahs but are forced to comply with their despotic tyrannical reign over the people of Iran. Added to this it is reported that the fastest growing Church is in Iran despite the severe persecution and extreme penalties enforced on believers in the Lord Jesus.
The prophet Jeremiah prophesied about Elam the geographical region which lies within Iran today. According to the prophecy the Lord is going to break the military power of Islam which is their missile capabilities, send many Iranian militants into exile, shatter their power as a nation before their enemies, and pursue them with the sword until the regimes power is completely broken. After this the Lord will establish His throne in Iran through establishing the gospel of the kingdom, remove the Ayatollah’s and restore the fortunes of the Iranian people. (Jeremiah 49:35-39)
God has a long memory and remembers how the Persians treated Israel favourably. We are also told in the Word of God that there is a demonic principality over Iran today and in the last days there will be a war with Israel which Iran will lose because the Messiah and Michael the Archangel will both fight for Israel. (Daniel 10: 12-14, 20) While the regime of Iran will be defeated it will make a comeback in the invasion force led by Turkey. (Ezekiel 38:1-6) There is no doubt that Iran poses a threat to the nations of the world. Not only do they have Israel in their missile sights but also America, “the Great Satan” according to Islamic ideology. Many years ago now in 1984 in a night vision a Romanian pastor saw several major American cities burning, having been hit by missiles. We know that prophecies of this nature must be tested by scripture and be a 100% accurate in that they come to pass otherwise the prophecy is false. (Deuteronomy 18:21-22) We have seen this with those who said the Lord told them that President Trump would have a second term in office but things turned out differently. Their prophecies were false.
When you consider the arsenal of missiles and the cache of nuclear weapons in many nations today America is not exempt from missile strikes. If Biden goes ahead with the Iranian nuclear deal then he will be selling America ‘down the river’ he will be betraying the American people and Israel into the hands of their enemies and exposing both nations to a possible missile strike. If the deal with Iran goes ahead then it may well be that Israel will make the “first strike” taking out the Iranian missile silos in Syria and in Iran. As for the armies of Iran ultimately they will all go down into the pit along with all of the other Islamic armies that have attacked Israel and ransacked Jerusalem. These nations are all listed by name in Ezekiel Chapter 32 and they are all Islamic nations today.
As for Iran “the writing is on the wall” for the Ayatollah regime and their armies. After the defeat of the armies of the Antichrist on the mountains of Israel the hordes of the Iranian armies and their leaders will also go down into the pit of Hades. As Ezekiel writes; “Elam (Iran) is there, with all her hordes around her grave. All of them are slain, fallen by the sword. All who had spread terror in the land of the living went down uncircumcised to the earth below. They bear their shame with those who go down to the pit. A bed is made for her among the slain, with all her hordes around her grave. All of them are uncircumcised, killed by the sword. Because their terror had spread in the land of the living, they bear their shame with those who go down to the pit; they are laid among the slain.” (Ezekiel 32:24-25)
By re-negotiating the Iranian nuclear deal with Iran it is clear then that Biden and Harris backed by Obama and Clinton and those opposed to freedom, democracy and the Christian Church will have no qualms in relation to how it will affect Israel detrimentally. Right now Prime Minister Netanyahu is preparing Israeli forces to strike Iranian missile silos in Syria and Iran. The Biden administration has been warned by Prime Minister Netanyahu about re-entering the Obama administration’s flawed nuclear deal. The warning has been so loud that even Israel’s chief of staff has made it clear that Israel will lead a pre-emptive attack on Iran if the US re-enters the deal.
As we see all of these end-time events unfolding as believers in our Lord Jesus the messiah what are we to do? Well the Lord Jesus told us what do. It was not to give into despair but to look upwards because our rescue is at hand. And so He spoke words of encouragement for us as believers to take hold of in these last of the last days…
“There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near… So you also, when you see these things happening, recognize that the kingdom of God is near.” (Luke 21:25-28, 31)
