(Joel 3: 1-3, 12-16) “I will gather all the nations, And bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; And they have divided up My land. They have also cast lots for My people, Traded a boy for a harlot And sold a girl for wine that they may drink… Let the nations be aroused And come up to the valley where Yahweh judges, For there I will sit to judge All the surrounding nations. Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, tread, for the wine press is full; The vats overflow, for their wickedness is great. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of God’s verdict. The sun and moon grow dark And the stars lose their brightness. The Lord roars from Zion And utters His voice from Jerusalem, And the heavens and the earth tremble. But the Lord is a refuge for His people And a stronghold to the sons of Israel.”
Once again Benjamin Netanyahu is the official Prime Minister of Israel. The way ahead for him will be fraught with opposition and unrest not only from the leaders of other nations but also from within the Knesset itself. Right now Israel is moving towards “a face off” (military confrontation) with Iran which the prophet Daniel foretold would happen in the last days between these two nations (Daniel 10:12-14, 20). While the Israeli government consider America their ally the Biden Administration cannot be trusted to fight alongside of Israel if the Jewish nation goes to war with Iran due to that regime’s fixation and malicious intent towards the Jewish state. Israel knows that if Iran does gain nuclear capability that the rogue nation will become an immediate threat to Israel.
Joe Biden was Obama’s 2IC when he was in office in the Whitehouse and it was a well-established fact that Obama did not consider Israel a friend of America when he brokered the 2015 nuclear deal with the Iranian regime with the backing of Biden and other left-wing democrats in the American government which clearly demonstrated Obama’s contempt for, and chagrin against Israel. To all intents and purposes it would seem Obama did not care less about Israel’s security despite his political rhetoric to the contrary.
While Joe Biden says America will fight alongside Israel if they have to confront Iran militarily, his administration it seems will in the future still seek to re-negotiate and re-establish the 2015 Nuclear Deal brokered by Obama with the Iranian regime which Benjamin Netanyahu surely knows is not in the best interests of Israel’s security. Clearly Joe Biden is a puppet and Obama the puppet master in the current situation regarding Israel’s security and somewhat tense relationship with America. Joe Biden is also pushing for a Palestinian State, along with most other political leaders which would see Israel and Jerusalem divided.
Joe Biden will also increase the pressure on Benjamin Netanyahu to follow through with that two-state solution from hell which would see Israel pushed back to its pre-1967 borders before the six-day war occurred, making Israel vulnerable to missile attacks especially from the Golan Heights where Hezbollah would without doubt set up their rocket launchers to rain down their rockets on Israeli cities.
Then you have the issue of the Israeli settlements established in Judea and Samaria which is the very heartland of the Jewish people and part and parcel of their inheritance given to them by the Lord in the Bible. Undoubtedly the Biden Administration would want Israel to pull back on their settlements and give Judea and Samaria back to Arab sovereignty which in itself would become the enclave of Arab aggression against the Jewish people. According to the latest IDF reports related to acts of terror within Israel this year there were 280 attacks recorded in 2022 compared to 91 the previous year, and a further 500 attacks were thwarted by security forces, according to the Israeli military. What would happen if Judea and Samaria were solely in the hands of Arab sovereignty?
Another issue facing Prime Minister Netanyahu is the status of the Temple Mount. Pressure from the orthodox religious parties within Knesset wants to see Jews free to pray and to worship on the Temple Mount and to see it taken out of Muslim Arab control. At present Jordan has the oversight of the Temple Mount. Of course Hamas in Gaza have been consistently militant against Israel about the status of the Temple Mount as Muslims have been globally, and to have Jews permitted to pray on the sight of the Temple Mount would up the ante of Hamas’ and Hezbollah’s militant malevolence and raise the whole Islamic world up in arms towards the Jewish people.
Another confrontation for ‘Bibi’ is that the United Nations has passed a resolution denying any Jewish history or Jewish claim to the Temple Mount. UN members are talking about boycotting members of the Israeli government and the left-wing mainstream media is backing this resolution and even left-wing Jewish politicians in Israel as well. Another resolution the UN are mandating for Israel is that the Israeli government surrender all of their nuclear sites to UN control and supervision. Of course Iran was not even mentioned in this resolution. In this year 2022 alone 15 resolutions were passed against Israel whereas 13 resolutions were passed on other nations globally.
The latest resolution by the United Nations is against the 1948 rebirth of Israel as a nation after almost 2,000 years of Jewish exile. The UN is now calling it a catastrophe! In the UN 90 nations voted in favour of the resolution, 30 nations were against it and 47 abstained which means in effect their silence spoke volumes as to their unwillingness to support Israel’s sovereignty as a nation if the real truth be known. This resolution against the 1948 establishment of Israel by the UN was spearheaded by Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, Senegal, Tunisia, and Yemen and of course fully supported by the Palestinian Arabs. As for the Abraham Accords the United Arab Emirates signed the agreement with Israel but it would seem the UAE are now singing a different song in the UN.
According to God’s Word the time is coming when all the nations of the world will take a stand against Israel and because of this God will gather the armies of the nations to invade Israel and lay siege to Jerusalem and there enter into judgement with these armies of the nations because of what their political leaders and these armies have done to Israel and to the Jewish people (Zechariah 12:1-9; 14:1-5). According to the prophet Joel Israel will be carved up by the governments of the nations opposed to Israel’s existence (Joel 3:2b) (Zechariah 14:2). Primarily, for the most part, the armies of the nations will be Islamic but also many peoples with them (Ezekiel 38-1-6).
God is going to sweep these armies into the winepress of His wrath (Isaiah 63:1-6) (Revelation 19:15). The blood of these armies will flow outside of the city of Jerusalem for about a 180 miles and as high as the horse’s bridles (Revelation 14:17-20). Among these Islamic armies will also be the armies of the UN, the EU and every other western nation that has sided against Israel. It will also be a severe judgement and terrible retribution against Islam. The prophets speak of this (Isaiah 34:1-10) (Ezekiel 25:12-14). Islamic armies will all go down into the pit of Hades in wholesale lots and they are specifically named and are all from Islamic nations today (Ezekiel 32:18-32).
The day is coming where multitudes upon multitudes will be drawn by the Lord into the Valley of decision or that valley where God judges and passes sentence, on them and in that place of judgement these wicked armies of the nations will be destroyed (Joel 3:12-14) (Ezekiel 38:21-23; 39:4-6, 17-20) The verdict will have come in and they will stand condemned! It will not only be a judgement against those attacking Israel but will be a judgement upon the whole world and all the nations and it will be so severe that even the very constellations will be effected (Joel 3: 15) (Isaiah 34:1-4) (Matthew 24:29) (Revelation 6:12-17).
Having said these things the prophet Joel also tells us that when the sun and moon grow dark and the stars lose their brightness that the Lord, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, will roar from Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem, and the heavens and the earth will tremble. But that the Lord will be a refuge for His people and a stronghold to the sons of Israel! (Joel 3:16).
Let the nations take their stand against Israel, and even though God has permitted this to bring His people back to himself as a nation, He will judge those wicked godless nations that have dared to touch the apple of His eye, the people of Israel (Deuteronomy 32:10). In that day when the Messiah our Lord Jesus comes back every surviving Jew still living on earth will be saved and Jerusalem raised above all of the other kingdoms still in existence (Zechariah 12:10-14) (Romans 11:25-29) (Isaiah 2:1-5). In that day Israel will dwell securely under the faithful and true Shepherd the Messiah our Lord Jesus and no one will make them afraid ever again! (Zephaniah 3:13). To this the prophets testify! Those who take sides against Israel take sides against God!
