(Jeremiah 51:9) “We tried to heal Babylon, but she could not be healed. Abandon her! Let each of us go to his own land, for her judgment extends to the sky and reaches to the clouds.”
Just when the IDF and the Israeli air force has been defeating Hamas those remorseless killers for Allah in Gaza, the Israeli leadership has given in to a four-day cease fire of sorts under pressure from Qatar and the Biden Administration that will see a deal which would see 50 women and children released in exchange for 150 Palestinian women and young people who were convicted of crimes from prison. Also Israel has agreed to send into Gaza more trucks filled with food, fuel, medical supplies and other humanitarian relief. For six hours each day, Israel will stop using drones and other aircraft to provide surveillance of the northern section of the Gaza Strip. Israel also apparently agreed to stop aerial surveillance and activity over all of the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
The Israel-Hamas deal has six components 1. 50 Israeli women and children will be released over a four-day cease fire. 2. For every ten more hostages released the cease fire will be extended by a day. 3. The Red Cross will visit the hostages who are not being released, and provide medication or medical aid. 4. Hamas has said 150 Palestinian women and children will be released from Israeli jails. 5. Hamas says aerial movement over southern Gaza Strip to stop completely, and to be limited to six hours a day over the north. 6. Hamas says civilians will be allowed to move from the southern Gaza Strip to its north via Salah Al-Din Road.
At the time of writing this post on Friday afternoon 24/11/2023 this exchange is as yet to happen. Now it has been reported that only 13 hostages will be released by Hamas to begin with. What about the other 47 hostages? When will they be released? Hamas cannot be trusted; they are playing for time to regroup as much as they can in the time they have been given! If the so called ‘cease-fire’ which has been called by a spokesman for Hamas as a ‘humanitarian pause.’ Has anyone thought about the IDF soldiers underground in the tunnels right now risking their lives cleaning out the hornets’ nest of Hamas poisonous vipers? ‘Bibi’ Netanyahu has clearly stated that when the ‘pause’ is over that they will continue taking the fight to Hamas. We need to pray for ‘Bibl’ Netanyahu that the LORD will strengthen him in his resolve to take Hamas to the cleaners!
In the online edition of All Israel News it is also interesting to note what it said about Hamas; “Obviously, Hamas wants the freedom to move its terrorist forces out of hiding in the north to regroup, refuel, and rearm – all without the IDF watching. Certainly, Hamas wants to have time to lay more land mines and IEDs, and booby-trap more buildings in the north – all without the IDF watching. They likely also want to set up more rocket launchers in the north and load them with more rockets to be able to start firing again at Israel – all without the IDF watching. And Hamas wants full freedom of movement in the south so they can actively prepare for the next round of IDF operations. This is especially true in and around Khan Younis, Hamas’ main base of terror operations in the South. But this is the deal that the Biden administration negotiated, with the active help of Qatar, the Gulf state where Hamas’ top leadership lives in luxury. In the end, Israeli leaders had little choice. They could not pass up the opportunity to get at least 50 Israeli hostages home safely to their families and friends. So, they said yes.”
Now it seems Hamas are moving the goal posts. Now the number is 13 hostages to be released initially. Already millions of Bible believing New Covenant believers around the world are praying that God would miraculously deliver the hostages out of the hands of Hamas and we need to keep praying along these lines that He will lead the IDF to where they are being held. Having said this, we must also see how Hamas will take advantage of this situation to strengthen their position and resolve to keep killing Jews.
In the article it also stated; “We need to redouble our efforts and pray harder for five things: for the full and immediate release of all of the hostages, for the total defeat and destruction of the Hamas terror empire, and for the complete liberation of the Gaza Strip from the Hamas reign of terror, for the protection of all 1,000 Christians in Gaza and for the safety and salvation of every innocent Palestinian in Gaza, and of every Israeli, as well. The Israeli government is not turning to the God of Israel to ask for these things. The chief rabbis are not actively and consistently calling on the God of Israel to do these three things. So, we as Evangelicals must do it ourselves. And thank the Lord for every answer, every blessing, if it is not everything we want, exactly when we want it. “You have not because you ask not, or because you ask with impure motives.” (James 4:3).

Historically the roots of Islam go way back beyond Mohammad’s time to the Tower of Babel where Nimrod, a major type of the future Antichrist, built the cities of Babylon and Assyria. In our English translations of Genesis we read where “Nimrod was a mighty hunter before the LORD,” however, in the Hebrew text it reads; “Nimrod was a mighty hunter in the face of God.” In other words he was a rebel! (Genesis 10:8-12). In the Bible the kings of Babylon and Assyria are types of the future Antichrist. One of his titles is “The Assyrian.”
The emblems of the crescent moon and the star we see on Islamic flags and emblems today represent Nimrod and Semiramis his mother as well as his wife, both being deified by those over whom they ruled. The Tower of Babel was their attempt to establish a global empire that defied God. Of course we know how it all ended for them and their empire. The crescent moon in fact became the representation of the Arabic Mesopotamian moon-god of war; hence we see the crossed scimitars pointing upwards on Islamic banners representing conquest by the sword.
It is also interesting to note that when Gideon had defeated the Midianites that we are told in the Bible that he removed the crescent ornaments from around the necks of the Midianites camels (Judges 8:21 NASB). So the symbols of the crescent moon and the star go way back past the time of Mohammad and the founding of Islam. When you look at the ideology and true nature of Islam we can see that no amount of trying to ‘heal’ it will change the militancy and murderous intent of this death cult. You cannot deal with Islam.
They are past masters in giving disinformation in a time of Jihad when they are under threat. Taqiyya is a precautionary dissimulation or denial of religious belief and practice. Generally, taqiyya is the action of committing a sinful act for a pious goal. Hiding one’s beliefs has been a feature of Islam since its earliest days, and is acknowledged by Muslims of virtually all persuasions. The mindset of a Muslim engaged in Jihad is to deceive by showing subservience until they have the upper hand and when they do they strike with the speed of a poisonous death adder. Western Governments either do not know this or choose not to know. Babylon cannot be healed! You cannot do deals with Islam.
While there is no easy answer to the current hostage situation and one feels for the relatives as well as the hostages, and it is good to see that some hostages will be released, however, in light of the larger situation Israel must maintain their offensive especially the air strikes. Israel have been doing everything they can to act in a humanitarian way to the people of Gaza, however, when Hamas fights behind women and children, from hospitals, from schools and from civilian populated areas, and Hamas combatants dress in civilian clothes, you have a problem for the IDF going from house to house engaged in Urban warfare to root out these murdering terrorists, the IDF soldiers not always being able to tell the difference between civilians and Hamas terrorists.
Isaiah the prophet prophesied about the nations in relation to Israel in the last days. Let’s briefly look at this prophecy.
(Isaiah 17:12-14) Oh, the raging of many nations–they rage like the raging sea! Oh, the uproar of the peoples– they roar like the roaring of great waters! Although the peoples roar like the roar of surging waters, when He rebukes them they flee far away, driven before the wind like chaff on the hills, like tumbleweed before a gale. In the evening, sudden terror! Before the morning, they are gone! This is the portion of those who loot us, the lot of those who plunder us.”
Today the nations are raging against Israel like a wild storm tossed out of control. The governments of the United States, the European Union, the United nations, the Arab kingdoms on the Saudi Arabian Peninsula, the Houthis in Yemen, Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in the north, Syria, Turkey and Iran, Britain and even in Australia are all against Israel if the truth be known. Anti-Israel protests are occurring in many nations over the Israel-Gaza war and of course they are insinuating that Israel is the aggressors. Those in the protests are ignorant of what is really happening in Gaza and much of this is fuelled by the bias of most of the mainstream media that by and large bend the news to their own opinions.
We are living in a time like no other in human history where nations have the power to exterminate mankind several times over with the nuclear arsenal many nations have. To a Jihad-minded Islamic terrorist it is nothing to him to put his finger on the button of a missile with a nuclear warhead attached. No matter what the nations attempt to do to Israel the day will come when in their extremity the survivors in Israel will cry out to God to deliver them and because God is a covenant keeping God, and for the sake of His name and His unbreakable Word, He will send back the Messiah our Lord Jesus to deal out retribution on all of the nations that have dared to touch the apple of His eye.
We do know from past history and from the Word of God that in past times God has used pagan nations to judge His people when they have turned away from Him, but after Israel has turned back to Him those nations that have fulfilled His purposes He has gotten rid of them big time! Israel still stands today after its rebirth as a nation in 1948 after almost 2,000 years of exile, prophesied in the Bible to happen in the last of the last days (Isaiah 66:7-9) (Ezekiel 37:1-14). That was 75 years ago now and everyday Israel is centre stage in world affairs and in the news of all the broadcasting networks.
The raging of the nations continues unabated but the time will come when like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD will raise up a red coloured battle standard against Israel’s enemies and sweep them away! (Isaiah 59:19) (Proverbs 10:25) (Psalm 28:3) (Zephaniah 1:2-3) (Proverbs 21:7) (Psalm 73:19) (Psalm 58:9) (Psalm 90.5) (1 Samuel 12:25) (Matthew 24:37-41). When the Lion of the Tribe of Judah roars the whole jungle of this world will tremble and the armies gathered against Israel in that day shattered beyond remedy! He will rebuke them by his powerful Word and they will flee far away, driven before the wind like chaff on the hills, like tumbleweed before a gale. In the evening, sudden terror! Before the morning, they are gone! This is the portion of those who loot us, the lot of those who plunder us” so says the prophet Isaiah!
So in that day Israel will be saved out of the hands of their implacable enemies and out of the hands of all those who hate them, and in that day under the reign of the Messiah no one will ever again make them afraid, having gazed upon Him their Passover Lamb, their redeemer, the one who was pierced for their sins and by whose blood they have received the atonement, forgiveness, redemption and cleansing from all sin, with tears of repentance and joy they will be reunited with Him forever! (Zechariah 12:10-13:1).
As for the modern day ‘Babylonians,’ being the Islamic empire not being willing to be healed, its militant and vicious leaders with their armies will all go down into the pit of Hades in wholesale lots where we are told that “their worm will not die, nor will their fire be quenched, and they will be loathsome to all mankind” (Isaiah 66:24b) The nations listed are all Islamic nations today! (Ezekiel 32:18-32). “Babylon Cannot Be Healed”
