The Deal of the Century?
According to an article three days ago in the online publication of Israel Today it read “Last Thursday US Special Envoy to the Middle East Jason Greenblatt met with Evangelical leaders at the White House on Thursday to discuss President Donald Trump’s “deal of the century” Middle East peace plan…The Evangelical leaders expressed concerns about whether the plan will include a call to divide Jerusalem and allow the Palestinian Authority to set up its capital on the eastern side of the holy city, Israel Channel 13 reported. “Greenblatt did not disclose details of the plan,” one participant told Channel 13. “Greenblatt wanted to hear our concerns and what our red lines are.” The participant also said that Greenblatt insisted that the plan be “fair.” However, he also said that “both sides would gain from the deal, but they would also need to compromise.”
Moving forward?
Joel Rosenberg, a well-known evangelical journalist and writer. who is also a personal friend of US Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, says he told the other Evangelical leaders in the meetings that Palestinian President Abbas is never going to make a deal, so there is no need to be too worried that Jerusalem is going to be sacrificed. Rosenberg said he stressed to the other Evangelical leaders: “We need to allow the President freedom of movement and latitude to present a plan that would allow those Arab states which are more willing than ever to make peace with Israel to move forward. We need to give the Arab States the ability to support this. If the Saudis, the Egyptian and others can say that this plan is credible it will open the door for, after the Palestinians say no, to talk about how to move forward with Israel.”
Reassuring the Evangelicals
Evangelical Christians continue to be strong supporters of Israel. Many Evangelical leaders have strong personal relationships with Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu, and Christians make up a large percentage of Trump’s base supporters. Trump’s peace deal is expected to be presented in the next few months and the White House has been trying to reassure Evangelicals about the plan.” (End of quote)
Babylon cannot be healed!
Abbas and Co and Hamas in Gaza may be “the fly in the ointment” at present to the peace treaty to be brokered between Israelis and Arabs in Israel but Turkey is the real threat as President Erdogan, whose armies are now stationed in Northern Syria, gains his supporters for the revived caliphate. The question remains, Can even the Arab nations really make peace with Israel? Can a leopard change it spots? Can a lion change its ferocity? As the prophet Jeremiah writes; “We applied healing to Babylon, but she was not healed;” (Jeremiah 51:9) Islam by its very ideology and Koranic doctrines cannot change or assimilate.
It cannot assimilate
The ‘Babylonian’ empire for today is the Empire of Islam, an empire that cannot assimilate, a beast empire “which is different from all the others beast empires before it, exceedingly dreadful, with its teeth of iron and its claws of bronze, and which devours, crushes and tramples down the remainder with its feet, an empire that will devour the whole earth and tread it down and crush it.” (Daniel 7:19, 23) This is Islam today!
“A boiling pot tilting away from the north”
It will be interesting to see how President Trump deals with the man from Turkey and the forces he is amassing in Northern Syria right now. Even the Arab states in the Saudi Arabian Peninsula cannot be trusted as there can be no compromising with Islam even as far as those Arabs are concerned. How will President Trump factor in Turkey to the Middle-East peace plan? There is a gathering storm, “a boiling pot tilting away from the North” (Jeremiah 1:13) that is about to spill out its contents across the whole Middle-East with Israel in its path. Many have been telling us that Russia will lead the invasion force against Israel in the last days but it will in fact be Turkey. It is interesting when you look at the location of Ankara the capital of Turkey on a Google map it is North of Israel and directly aligned with the North Pole. It does not align with Moscow. The Islamic army invading Israel will come from the far north, that is north of Israel. (Ezekiel 38:15)
They are all there
All the nations mentioned in Ezekiel chapter 38 that attack Israel are now present in Syria. Craig.C. White, a well known Bible prophecy teacher writes; “Ezekiel 38 describes a Middle Eastern invasion into Israel. It is called the battle of Gog and Magog. Most teach that this battle is led by Russia. It is high time to rethink that position. Every nation that is listed in Ezekiel 38 is now fighting in Syria! This battle is led by Turkey!!! The first phase of the battle of Gog and Magog may begin very soon!!! Gog is the land of modern Turkey. Magog is its leader. Ezekiel 38 describes a Turkish led invasion into Israel. “Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet” (Ezekiel 38:5) describes the armed forces that will join Turkey in its invasion into Israel. Turkey will be joined by Iran (Persia), Ethiopia (The original Hebrew word is Cush which describes the land south of Egypt. Cush represents present day Sudan), and Libya. Ezekiel 38:5 also describes an event that is happening now! The Free Syrian Army is fighting against Syrian President Bashar Assad and the Syrian army. The Free Syrian Army is advertised as being Syrian freedom fighters, but they aren’t. They are a band of foreign jihadists fighting to install Muslim Brotherhood leadership in Syria. So, what current event is Ezekiel 38:5 describing? Soldiers from Turkey, Iran, Sudan, and Libya are all fighting in Syria today. The Free Syrian Army is made up of mostly Libyans and is fighting under Turkish leadership!” (end of quote)
An empire of global proportions
As for the Muslim Brotherhood and their creed President Erdogan fully supports their agenda for an Islamic empire of global proportions. The Muslim Brotherhood will support the Caliphate. This fits in well with a revived Turkish Ottoman Empire with President Erdogan’s ambition to be its first Supreme caliph of the whole Islamic world.
Dividing up God’s Real-Estate
If President Trump’s peace plan in any way seeks to divide the land of Israel or for that matter Jerusalem he will see America divided, possibly another civil war? According to a recent report in the Clarion Online right across America in Islamic mosques the Imams and Muslim Clerics are preaching violence and death for Jews and non-Muslims alike in Arabic. What they say in English is vastly different from what they are saying in Arabic. Could it possibly be that a civil war could erupt on American soil between American Muslims and non-Muslims? Hopefully President Trump will in no way seek to divide up God’s real estate or the city where God Himself has chosen to put His name forever! (2 Chronicles 7:16) God Himself is clear about how He will deal with those nations that seek to carve up the land of Israel or Jerusalem for that matter and afflict and mistreat His people.
Where the LORD Judges
He has spoken through the prophet Joel concerning the last days; “For behold, in those days and at that time, When I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all the nations And bring them down to the valley where the LORD judges. Then I will enter into judgment with them there On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; And they have divided up My land. “They have also cast lots for My people, Traded a boy for a harlot And sold a girl for wine that they may drink.” (Joel 3:1-3)
The Valley of Decision
Those nations whose armies seek to divide Israel and Jerusalem will find themselves among “the multitudes in the Valley of decision.” (Joel 3:14) God will use these armies of the nations, as He has always done, to bring about Israel’s repentance and spiritual restoration to Himself and to their Messiah, but once He has used these hostile nations in His prophetic purposes for Israel He will get rid of them all and big time at that! When the dust of battle finally settles on the mountains surrounding Jerusalem Israel will be “the last man standing” under the war banner of their Messiah! Those Israelis exiled from the city (Zechariah 14:1-2) will be regathered again from the nations to which they have been scattered and fight with their Messiah at Jerusalem (Zechariah 14:14).
The War Banner of the Messiah
As Isaiah the prophet writes; “And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, (Part of today’s northern Iraq, south-eastern Turkey, north-western Iran and north-eastern Syria)“and from Egypt, and from Pathros (Upper Egypt), and from Cush (Sudan), and from Elam (Iran), and from Shinar (Iraq), and from Hamath (Syria), and from the islands of the sea (the Mediterranean Sea). And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim. But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines (Gaza) toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together (The Syrians and Arabs, who lay east of Judea and also including the revived Turkish Ottoman Empire) they shall lay their hand upon Edom (Southern Jordan Palestinian Arabs and by extension and inclusion Saudi Arabia) and Moab (Central Jordan Palestinian Arabs); and the children of Ammon (Northern Jordan Palestinian Arabs) shall obey them. (Isaiah 11:11-14) After the Lord Jesus has come back the whole ‘Palestinian’ Arab agenda will no longer exist!
The Ultimate Peace Plan
There is only one peace plan that will ultimately work in the Middle-East and that will be the one brokered by the Prince of Peace the Lord Jesus the Messiah, when He comes back.
The Torah will go forth from Zion
As the prophet Isaiah writes; “And many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us His ways so that we may walk in His paths.” For the law (Torah) will go forth from Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. Then He will judge between the nations and arbitrate for many peoples. They will beat their swords into ploughshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will no longer take up the sword against nation, nor train anymore for war.” (Isaiah 2:3-4)
“My purpose will be established!”
As the LORD has also said; “Remember what happened long ago, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me. I distinguish the end from the beginning, and ancient times from what is still to come, saying: ‘My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure.’
As it has been said; “Man Proposes, God Disposes!”
