King Solomon wrote; “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun” (Ecclesiastes 1:9).
On May 29th 1453 the City of Constantinople, the Capital of the Byzantine Empire fell to the Turkish Ottoman Empire by Sultan Mehmed II ending the last vestige of the Ancient Roman Empire. Rome was no more. Historically The Ottoman Empire was one of the mightiest and longest-lasting dynasties in world history. This Islamic-run superpower ruled large areas of the Middle East, Eastern Europe and North Africa for more than 600 years. The empire reached its zenith under Suleiman I (1520–66), dominating the eastern Mediterranean, including North Africa, and threatening central Europe itself.
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan
Today we see Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the man from Turkey, seeking to resurrect the Turkish Ottoman Caliphate and like his Ottoman forebears he wants to see the Islamic Caliphate dominate the world, a goal in line with the ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood and an ideology which has undoubtedly shaped the mindset of the Turkish leader. While he is drumming up supporters for his revived caliphate from the Middle-Eastern region and in North Africa he is also aware that his Ottoman forebears did not succeed in conquering all of Europe.
The Ottoman Empire
According to the New World Encyclopaedia Online it states; “Historically the Ottoman Empire acquired considerable territory in the Balkans, which it ruled for the next 300 years as well as areas of Hungary, Poland and Greece. Ottoman expansion into Europe began as the Christian reconquest of Spain ended, producing what has been described as a “wave like movement” – as Muslims lost territory in the West they gained territory in the East. In Europe, many people saw the series of epic battles as a struggle between two rival faiths, each competing for world supremacy. Conflict was regarded as inevitable. When, on several occasions, the Ottomans reached the gates of Vienna, considered a cultural capital of Europe, it seemed that the devil himself was threatening the very survival of Europe and of its dominant religion.”
Sitting in God’s Temple
In Constantinople (Istanbul today) the capital of the Byzantine Empire stood the Hagia Sophia, the Vatican of Eastern Christendom which was built as a Christian Orthodox church and serving that purpose for centuries, however, it was transformed into a mosque by the Ottomans upon their conquest of Constantinople in 1453. In 1934 after the demise of the Ottoman Empire it was declared a museum by the secularist Turkish leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. On July 24th, 2020, the Erdoğan regime converted the Hagia Sophia back into a mosque, restaging the 1453 conquest of Istanbul and the initial conversion of Hagia Sophia into a mosque. The Turkish leader himself led the prayers in the Mosque foreshadowing the man of sin himself who will sit in God’s Temple to proclaim himself as God (Daniel 11:36) (2 Thessalonians 2:4).
The Islamic ‘Trojan Horse’
To the Islamic mindset it must show the world that their god Allah is greater than the Triune God worshipped by Jews and the Christians. Undoubtedly Erdoğan was making this clear when he led the prayers in the Hagia Sofia. While his globetrotting at present is focused on Middle-eastern and African countries he knows that Europe is already being hijacked by Islam. The Islamic ‘Trojan Horse’ is well ensconced within the whole continent of Europe. We see this very clearly today through Islamic migration into Europe. The two main countries in Europe now experiencing an Islamic insurgency is France and Germany among others.
France Under Siege!
In France now there are more than 500 districts declared to be subject to Sharia Law. We are talking about several million people who are subject to Islamist law. In French Publications it has been reported that in the City of Trappes, which has 32,000 inhabitants, 70% are Muslims as well as 40-50 different nationalities. Most who were born there, wear hijab, qami, sarouel, traditional Middle Eastern clothing. The submission is complete. The church cannot compete with the five mosques located in Trappes.
Edouard de Lamaze, President of the Observatory of Religious Patrimony said, “Every two weeks in France, a mosque is created and a church disappears.” Writing in L’Incorrect, Frédéric Saint Clair, a political analyst, recalled that if at the end of the 1970s there were about 200 mosques in the country, today there are more than 2,500. He states, “At the current rate, at the end of the century there will be 10,000 mosques.” Marseille, the second largest city in France, according to the latest issue of the French monthly Causeur, “is already a quarter Muslim. The proportion of people aged 1-18 born to two non-European parents is exploding in urban areas throughout France, it is a historical demographic change.” According to one study it states, “The city of Lyon is already one-third Islamic. 18% of newborns in France bear a Muslim name. In the 1960s, the figure was 1%.”
Germany Under Siege!
Germany is also being overrun by Islamic ideology. According to Reuters online last week Germany’s largest mosque will be permitted to broadcast the call to prayer over loudspeakers on Friday afternoons, after an agreement between the city of Cologne and the Muslim community to ease restrictions. All 35 mosques in Cologne will now be permitted to broadcast the call to prayer for up to five minutes on Fridays between noon and 3 p.m., under a two-year initiative. That includes the Cologne Central Mosque, which was opened in 2018 after becoming a flashpoint for anti-Muslim sentiment from far right parties, particularly following an influx of asylum seekers in 2015-2016. The Islamic call to prayer reminds Muslims that Islam is the only way for all people both Muslims and non-Muslims alike according to its ideology which in reality is conquest by the sword as we see symbolised in the crossed swords pointing upwards on all Islamic banners and flags.
In 2015, large numbers of refugees fleeing war and terrorism in Syria, Afghanistan, and Iraq arrived on Europe’s shores. The German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, remained undaunted. “We can do this!” she announced in August of that year. And do this, they did. In 2015 and 2016, Germany received over one million first-time asylum applications. Looking at photographs of these ‘asylum seekers’ many of them it seemed were young men of Middle-Eastern origin most likely aged between 20-30 age group. How many were covert Jihadists and insurgents? While people of other nations can assimilate into western society Muslims cannot assimilate even though outwardly they embrace many of the western lifestyles and its culture. However, when it comes to the ideology and religious component of Islam they must adhere to its mandates on all Muslims.
Islam Cannot Assimilate
In the Book of Daniel you have four empires described. The first three are the empires of Babylon, Medio-Persia, and the Greco-Roman world being Greece and Rome combined. In the Greco-Roman world especially we see Rome adopting and absorbing much of the Greek culture, its military strategies, its form of government its ideologies, its lifestyles and its ‘gods.’ However, the fourth beast empire we are told cannot assimilate into any other culture but maintains its own culture and ideology. Daniel describes this empire as ”terrifying and frightening and very powerful with large iron teeth and bronze claws with which it crushes and devours its victims and tramples underfoot whatever is left. It was different from all former empires and was composed of a ten nation confederacy (Daniel 7:7, 19).
Murder and Mayhem!
The marks of this fourth beast empire aptly describes Islam today as we see murder and mayhem spreading like wildfire through the western democracies and even Middle-Eastern nations. Crushing and devouring and killing and terrorism are virtually all due to the beginnings of the final Islamic Jihad being waged against all who will not submit to Islamic ideology. Most recently we have seen yet another murder. Conservative MP Sir David Amess was stabbed to death by a 25 year old man of whom the Metropolitan Police said had a potential link to Islamist extremism. Sir David Amess loved the Jewish people and supported Israel.
The Two Yet One!
This ‘fourth and the final beast empire’ that is rapidly engulfing and dominating the world would have to be Islam. Historically the Greco-Roman world was conquered by Islam. In the Book of Revelation Chapter thirteen you have two beast empires that are in fact the one and the same empire.
The First ‘Beast’ Empire
The first beast empire receives a seemingly mortal wound but is resurrected in the second beast empire. Together these empires have a militaristic, a socio-economic, a totalitarian system of government and a religious component as well. The first beast empire arises out of the Sea of tossing humanity and is characterised by an ideology of war, suppression of its population by a despotic totalitarian regime, by its affront to God, by its socio-economic domination and by the persecution of faithful New Covenant believers (Revelation 13:1-9).
The Second ‘Beast’ Empire
The second best empire comes up out of the earth and is the first beast empire resurrected. Its predominant feature is its religious component controlled by Satan with all of the designated authority of the first beast (Revelation 13:11-12) It’s focus is on getting people to submit to the mandates of the beast system of government and to the “horn” or ruler being the man of sin (Revelation 13:14-18). These two beasts combined give us a picture of Islam. At present this end-time empire is still fragmented and Muslims are still not united because of the Shiite and Sunni divide. However, when the man of sin comes out of Syria he will not only be touted by the whole Muslim world as the prophesied Mahdi of Islam but will have at his disposal 200 million remorseless killers for Allah launching a Jihad unlike any jihad in history (Revelation 9:13-19).
The Islamic Hijack
As for the fire out of heaven in full view of men and the image of the beast system of government and the mark of the governmental system with its ID number, they would all have to be in the area of technology today as we see the whole world being manipulated and controlled by technology. The Islamic world is not backwards when it comes to technology. The global elitists in the western democracies have as yet to face Islam which will hijack their system of global control. Today you have Muslims working in high positions within the governments of America, Great Britain and in European nations and in the financial corporations. During his time in the Oval Office Obama entertained members of the Muslim Brotherhood in the White House. Obama is a Muslim. King Solomon was right when he wrote, “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.”
Turkey Rising
The most likely contender for the ultimate man of sin with his socio-economic system, militaristic, governmental and religious empire is the man from Turkey. What we have seen historically with the rise and fall of the Turkish Ottoman Empire that toppled Rome and lasted for 600 years until the caliphate was abolished in 1924, after it had received its seemingly fatal wound after WW1, is being resurrected to topple the west. Erdoğan has sat in the Temple the Hagia Sofia, the Vatican of Eastern Orthodox Christendom. He has not as yet sat in the Basilica in the Vatican of Western Christendom at Rome which he would most likely have converted into a Mosque after the conquest of most of Europe by Islam. Even if he does not get to sit in the Basilica in the Vatican, he most definitely would see Islam dominating Europe and the expulsion of Christianity.
The Rescue is Coming!
Having said this, his ultimate goal would be to sit in God’s Temple in Jerusalem to receive worship as God. Of course God will intervene! For the sake of His elect people and for the very survival of the world He will cut those days short (Matthew 24:21-22) Then God will send the Messiah our Lord Jesus back to rescue His elect people, destroy all earthly empires and their kings and to inaugurate and establish His Messianic Kingdom on earth for a thousand years of peace! May that day come soon! (Daniel 2:34-3544-45) (Revelation 20:1-6).
