(Joel 3 2) “I will gather all the nations And bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; And they have divided up My land.”
According to a report on TV7Israel News last Thursday it stated that the Biden Administration have just produced a 48 page National Security Strategy published in Washington highlighting its continued commitment to promote a viable two-state solution that preserves Israel’s future as a Jewish and democratic state while meeting Palestinian aspirations for a secure viable state of their own. As President Biden stated during his visit to the West Bank in July 2022, “Two states along the 1967 lines, with mutually agreed swaps, remain the best way to achieve equal measure of security, prosperity, freedom and democracy for Palestinians as well as Israelis.”
In 1967, in a miraculous six-day war the Israelis reclaimed a vast amount of real estate which was part of their inheritance given to them by God to be for the Jewish people “an everlasting possession” (Genesis 17:8). This real estate included the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. For political expediency In 1967 during the Six-Day War the Jordanians, who had control of the West Bank and East Jerusalem, attacked Israel with the help of Syria and Egypt. The Israelis pushed the Jordanians out of the West Bank and as a result took East Jerusalem and the Temple Mount.
After the dust settled from the Six-Day War, Israeli Prime Minister Levi Eshkol returned the authority of the Temple Mount to the Islamic Waqf. The Waqf are the Islamic guardians of Muslim holy sites; they watch over them and make sure they are being managed properly. Levi Eshkol returned the Temple Mount to the Islamic Waqf as a gesture of peace to the Arab world.
God cut a blood covenant with His friend Abraham to guarantee all of the Land of Israel for the Jewish people from the wadi of Egypt all the way up to the River Euphrates and everything in between (Genesis 15:17-21). The land included the Sinai Peninsula, the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and the Golan Heights. Added to this the Land of Israel was allotted to the descendants of Isaac and not to the descendants of Ishmael, the father of the Arab nations (Genesis 17:15-22).
God Himself had no intention of ever dividing up His land Israel and we know from His Word that He never goes back on His covenants (Psalm 105:8) (1 Chronicles 16:15) (Leviticus 26:42) (Deuteronomy 4:31) (Psalm 106:45) (Ezekiel 16:60). Furthermore, nowhere in the Bible is the land of Israel called Palestine, a name invented by the Romans from which they derived from the word Philistine, knowing that the Philistines were Israel’s ancient enemies. God calls the Land Israel, the writers of both Testaments call the land Israel, and the Lord Jesus Himself called the land Israel. Those, whether they are in secular government of within wider Christendom who insist on calling the Land of Israel ‘Palestine,’ argue with God Himself! They do not understand by the revelation of the Spirit of God the solemnity and binding power of a blood covenant cut in Biblical times which was considered unbreakable.
Those who support a two state solution have no concept of the fact that God is a covenant keeping God. The New Covenant God cut with His people through the blood of the Messiah our Lord Jesus, and that was prophesied by the prophet Jeremiah, was not made with a Gentile Church separate from the Commonwealth of Israel but it was made with the House of Israel and with the House of Judah (Jeremiah 31:31). The Gentiles who believed in the Messiah our Lord Jesus were to be spiritually grafted into the Commonwealth of Israel, represented in scripture by the Olive Tree (Romans 11:17-18).
Gentile New Covenant believers in the Messiah partake of the blessings given by God to His ancient people the Jews. The Messiah our Lord Jesus only has one bride both Jew and gentile New Covenant believers, who being spiritually grafted together as one new man in the Messiah are the seed of Abraham spiritually and joint heirs of the promises made to Abraham (Ephesians 2:11-22) (Romans Chapter 4).
God never intended to establish a ‘Gentile’ Church with a denominational structure as a separate ‘group’ from the Commonwealth of Israel. In fact denominations were never God’s intention at all! Paul put it this way when he wrote, “There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all” (Ephesians 4:4-6). The Church is not the “New Israel” as defined by reformed theologians and by those who think that the Church has replaced Israel. God forbid!
Gentile believers spiritually grafted into Israel share in the nutritious spiritual fruit of the Olive Tree Israel (Romans 11: 17-18). The apostle Paul writes, “The people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption to sonship; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises. Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of the Messiah, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen” (Romans 9:4-5). What do the propagators of replacement theology think about a God who can break His covenants and insist that Christendom has now replaced Israel?
In Acts Chapter 15 the apostles understood this grafting in of Gentile believers into the Commonwealth of Israel as a fulfilment of the prophecy of Amos (Amos 9:11-12) (Acts 15:16-21). On the Day of Pentecost David’s fallen Tabernacle was spiritually restored, a partial spiritual restoration that will see a complete spiritual restoration at the very end of this present age, and that in the Land of Israel (Joel 2:28:32) (Acts 2:17-21) (Zechariah 12:10-14).
When Peter preached his message on the day of Pentecost he had recognised that the day of Pentecost was the fulfilment of Joel’s prophecy and realised that it was a partial fulfilment and the harbinger of the final and full spiritual restoration of Israel as a nation in the future.
In the Greek text of the New Testament Peter says concerning what was happening at Pentecost that “this was like that” which was spoken by the prophet Joel. On the Day of Pentecost there were no wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun was not turned to darkness and the moon to blood which we are told will happen just prior to the Second Coming of the Messiah our Lord Jesus which will be the culmination of the Day of the Lord (Matthew 24:29) (Isaiah 13:9-13) (Revelation 6:12-14).
Biden and his administration are no friends of Israel, far from it, as was Obama. The “two state solution” from hell was designed by Satan to divide up Israel’s’ inheritance and to destroy the nation of Israel as a people. To insist on Israel moving back to their pre-1967 borders would make Israel completely indefensible against their implacable Islamic antagonists on every side. There is no doubt that Israel’s relinquishing their control of the Golan Heights would see Hezbollah rocket launchers installed there from which they could rain down rockets on Israeli cities. Hezbollah has thousands of them more numerous, more advanced and sophisticated than the ones that Hamas have.
If Israel relinquished their control of the West Bank the militant jihad-minded Arabs would start a terrorist campaign in earnest against the Israeli citizens and settlers. If Israel relinquished their God given right to watch over the Sinai Peninsula then there is no doubt that Egypt and other Islamic nations would seek to attack Israel. As for Abbas he has no intention of relinquishing any of the land of Israel to the Jewish people especially the Temple Mount. He has just had a meeting with Putin and made it clear to the Russian tyrant that he will never accept Israeli settlements.
At present the government of Israel is unstable to say the least. Whether Yair Lapid the Israeli Caretaker Prime Minister will stand against this two-state proposal backed by the Quartet, being the United States, Russia, the United Nations and the European Union, or give into the current pressure from the Biden Administration to go along with the deal, remains to be seen? If the Israeli commanders of the IDF have anything to say about it they would be unified in rejecting such a proposal for the sake of Israel’s ongoing security.
At present Israel as a nation is spiritually alienated from God and from the Messiah and strangers and aliens to their own covenants of promise and have a veil over their eyes regarding the Messiah our Lord Jesus, however, God is going to remove that veil. They are leaning upon the support from the western political leaders of the ‘Egypt’ of this world for their security instead of leaning on the Lord alone. In the end Israel’s government will find that leaning on the ‘Egypt’ of this world will be like leaning upon a splintered reed of a staff that pierces a man’s hand when he leans upon it for support!
Biden is no friend of Israel! Pushing for the Iranian nuclear deal brokered by Obama in 2015 clearly shows that Biden is Israel’s enemy and has no care for Israel’s’ security. This “two state solution” from hell according to the prophet Joel will come about, but the Lord will take action against those armies of the nations whose political leaders have brokered this two-state solution that has divided up God’s land and defiled His inheritance, the people of Israel. God Himself will draw these armies of the nations into that valley where YHWH judges.
In that day multitudes will find themselves in the Valley of decision and cast into the winepress of the wrath of God with no reprieve, and their blood will flow outside of the city of Jerusalem for 180 miles and as high as the horses bridle, when the Lord judges the earth in truth, with justice and in righteousness (Joel 3:13) (Isaiah 63:1-6) (Revelation 14:10,18-20; 19:15). In that day when the nations are judged “the Lord will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the sky will tremble. But the Lord will be a refuge for His people, a stronghold for the people of Israel!” (Joel 3:12-16).
