“Then another sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads were seven diadems…So the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her children (offspring), who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus” (Revelation 12:3, 17).
On July 1st 2021 President Xi Jinping of China said; “The Chinese people will never allow any foreign forces to bully us. Anyone who dares to try will have their heads bashed bloody against a great wall of steel.”
In Thursday’s online edition of the Gatestone institute a headline read; “China Takes Over the Solomon Islands — And the Pacific.” The brief overview of the article read; “China, after years of persistent commercial, diplomatic, and military efforts, is taking over the Pacific. Beijing is moving from island group to island group, and soon the People’s Liberation Army will be in striking distance of Hawaii. The five-year deal, subject to automatic renewals, will allow Beijing to use the islands to base its military and to do pretty much what the Chinese military wants. If implemented to its full extent, the Framework Agreement will give China the ability to sever shipping lanes and air links connecting the U.S. with its treaty ally Australia and partner New Zealand.
For decades, Washington allowed Canberra and Wellington to manage the Solomons and its region…. Beijing, through payoffs now detailed in public, essentially owns Sogavare’s government. There is now talk that China will ink a security agreement with Papua New Guinea, just north of Australia. Moreover, China wants to upgrade an airstrip in Kiribati. Beijing says the improvements are for civilian purposes only, yet the military uses are apparent and no one believes the Chinese assurances. The facility is just 1,900 miles south of Hawaii. In Pacific terms, Kiribati is America’s next-door neighbour.”
The Great Red Dragon
In the Bible Satan has several titles and here in the text of Revelation Chapter 12 he is called a great red dragon (See also Revelation 16:13). The fact that he is a ‘red dragon’ denotes that he is a shedder of blood, a violent entity who uses firepower and who will incarnate himself in the Antichrist who will rule for three and a half years within the boundaries of his empire (Revelation 12:6,14; 13:5,) (Daniel 12:7). There will also be a confederation of 10 nations allied to him and giving him their allegiance (Revelation 17:9-12) (Daniel 7:7). He will depose three of these kings (Daniel 7:8). Before this happens the 10 nation confederacy, which apparently will still be intact as a unified body, will make war with the Lamb, being the Messiah our Lord Jesus, but He will overcome the Antichrist and his followers because as the Messiah our Lord Jesus is Lord of Lords and king of kings and with Him will be His called, chosen and faithful followers (Revelation 17:14).
The “Woman” is Israel
In Revelation Chapter 12 in its historical and prophetic context the woman is Israel and Satan tries to exterminate the Jewish state as he has always tried to do down through history but a remnant chosen by God’s grace escapes the clutches of Satan incarnated in the Antichrist and are divinely protected (Revelation 12:13-16).
The “Offspring” of the Woman
Now we are also told that this Great Red Dragon will be so enraged because he cannot exterminate Israel and the Jews preserved by the sovereign purposes of God, that he will go after the offspring of the woman who are those “who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.” (Revelation 12:17). These are born again, blood washed, Spirit-filled New Covenant believers who are being persecuted by Satan incarnated in the Antichrist. The Jewish remnant is preserved by grace in the wilderness, but not yet having encountered the Messiah will recognise Him when He comes back and be cleansed from their sins by the Messiah’s blood that has atoned for their sins (Zechariah 12:10-14; 13:1).
Spiritually Grafted into Israel
However, before this happens for three and a half years at the end of this present age the Antichrist’s empire will hunt down those who are spiritually grafted into the Olive Tree being the Commonwealth of Israel even though they are Gentiles and not ethnically Jewish. These are the spiritual offspring of the woman (Israel) being New Covenant believers sharing in the spiritual blessings given to Abraham and to his descendants being all who believe in the Messiah whether they are Jew or Gentile ethnically (Romans 11:17-18) (Ephesians 2:11-22). The faithful Church (the Body of the Messiah) is in fact not separate from Israel but by extension, inclusion and through a grafting in spiritually, a part of Israel and Abraham is the father of faith and of all who believe (Romans 4:11-17,22-25).
Boasting and Slander
So in Revelation Chapter 12:17 in a fit of rage Satan indwelling the Antichrist will go after New Covenant believers in the Messiah both Jewish and Gentile because they are spiritually one new man in the Messiah (Ephesians 2:15-16). This persecution of faithful New Covenant believers will be a global persecution lasting for three and a half years being 42 months during which Satan incarnated in the Antichrist will, with prideful boasting, be uttering blasphemies and blaspheming God Himself, slandering His name and His dwelling place and those who live in heaven. These in Heaven are those who are already absent from the body and present with the Lord in heaven. Those dwelling in heaven can also represent those who are part of God’s spiritual kingdom on earth; they reign in heavenly places with the Messiah our Lord Jesus even though physically they are still alive on earth (Ephesians 2:4-6).
For the Sake of God’s Elect
These are the target of the Great Red dragon working in and through his man the Antichrist. He cannot touch the elected Israelite group chosen by God’s grace but Satan can, for a short period of time, shed the blood of Abraham’s spiritual offspring being all new covenant believers in the Messiah (Revelation 13:7) (Daniel 7:21, 25). After this time of Great Tribulation, for the sake of His elect and for the very survival of the planet itself, God will cut those days short (Matthew 24:21-22). During this time period of three and a half years Michael the Archangel of War will go to bat for Israel being the prince over God’s people (Daniel 12:1). The Jewish elect will be spared even before they encounter their Messiah. Michael will personally see to this. It is the same time period spoken of by the Lord Jesus in Matthew 24:21-22 (Daniel 12:1).
Those Who Overcome
The faithful Body of the Messiah, being the faithful assembly of New Covenant believers corporately, will be almost exterminated physically but be saved for eternity and be those who overcome Satan by their word of testimony to what the blood of the Messiah has done for them and who do not to love their lives in this world but love the Lord Jesus even if it means martyrdom for them (Revelation 12:11). These will be those rejoicing greatly in the Lord and exulting in God who has clothed them with the garments of salvation and with the white robes of the Messiah’s righteousness (Isaiah 61:10) (Philippians 3;9), having been washed clean by His atoning blood and, who are seen coming out of the time of Great Tribulation between the sixth and the seventh seal in the Book of Revelation (Revelation 7:14).
Islam and China
While this persecution will come at the hands of the Islamic Antichrist and his empire I would like to suggest that persecution will also come from the ‘Red’ Dragon’ that is the historical symbol of Red China. While Islam will spread through Europe, the whole Middle-East and sweep down into North Africa, China will sweep up into the South and the East China Sea and even seek to establish military and naval infrastructure in the Indian Ocean, and sweep through the whole of the South Pacific region including Australia. To the North of Australia China is already approaching the South pacific island nations seeking to build military and naval bases and military infrastructure. The Solomon Islands are the latest nation that China has approached in the name of national security having in view building Chinese military and naval infrastructure there.
The Sleeping Giant Has Awoken!
Right now the Australian government are in panic mode, if the truth be known, as they see ‘the sleeping Giant’ that is ‘the Red Dragon of China’ preparing to breathe out its firepower in the South pacific Region and in the South and East China Sea. It is common knowledge that Satan, the “Great Bloody Red dragon,” is persecuting faithful new covenant believers in Mainland China and if China keeps expanding they will eventually cut Australia off from the other nations by blockading the trade routes via the sea which trade with Australia. China would also control the airspace over Australia isolating them from the rest of the world. With the Biden Administration even Australia’s security cannot be guaranteed especially if American cities were to be hit by missiles.
Australia: Ripe for God’s Judgement
Australia is ripe for God’s judgement because of the wicked and unbiblical hedonistic complacent and ungodly lifestyles of the average Aussie, who, because of material prosperity and by and large having it good in this world and because of the lukewarm spiritual condition of most churches, and because of what the government are legislating, are heading for the judgement of God. You have government sanctioned abortion, euthanasia, same-sex marriage, criminal prosecution for prayer counselling those struggling with their sexual orientation, legalising prostitution and seeking to force Christian schools to employ those who do not agree with the ethos of their Christian institutions.
Lawlessness at every level
Also in Australia you have left-wing socialist minded politicians forcing totalitarian tyrannical control over the people and who do not care for God or for His laws. In fact there is at present a spiritual lawlessness at every level of society in Australia. Those faithful New Covenant believing fellowships in Australia are now struggling to stem the tide of this spiritual landslide in Australia. China may well invade Australia in the near future if Australia as a nation doesn’t turn back to the Bible! In fact western Christendom, especially those nations traditionally and historically associated with Judeo-Christianity are now post Christian and neo-pagan. Democracy itself is rapidly becoming a thing of the past. Already you have the World Economic Forum spearheading a form of global totalitarianism or their brand of Communism, however, these global elitists and billionaires have as yet to face the ideology and ferocity of Islam and the real and the fanatical militant form of Communism of Red China with their expansionist agenda for global domination!
The ‘Symbol’ of China
The symbol of China is the dragon and China has its track record of the bloodshed of faithful New Covenant believers. China can also be defined as a red dragon in the character of Satan. If China does invade Australia then ‘the dragon’ will systematically hunt down those who will not go along with their ideology. Many who will not go along with the Chinese Communist manifesto will be Bible believing, born again, Spirit-filled New Covenant believers whose allegiance first and foremost is to God and to His unchanging Word before allegiance to man.
Wearing Out the Saints
The prophet Daniel wrote concerning the Antichrist; “He shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time” (Daniel 7:25). In the Hebrew text to “wear out the saints” can be translated, “to wear away, wear out and to constantly harass.” Satan is already wearing down the saints of the Most High through physical persecution in Islamic and Communist countries but also through assaults on the minds and feelings and the physical bodies of Christians in the western democracies, not physically persecuted as yet by and large, but who are fighting against the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life and becoming weary with the struggle.
“Electrifying the Fence!”
Satan knows that his time is short and he is “upping the ante” in his relentless pursuit of faithful New Covenant believers. In these last days spiritual warfare is the lot of every born again, blood washed, Spirit-filled believer with no exceptions. Many professing Christians in church are sitting on the fence as it were, with one foot in the world and one foot in the kingdom of God, if that is really possible, however God is starting to “electrify the fence” and they will have to jump one way or the other! Ultimately there will be only one of two choices to be made. Will it be Christ and His kingdom or the Antichrist and his beast empire? No one can have it both ways! As our Lord Jesus Himself said; “He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters” (Matthew 12:30).
Inheriting God’s Kingdom
At the end of this terrible time of tribulation lasting three and a half years in duration, the thrones of judgement will be placed in heaven, the heavenly judges will sit and the Ancient of Days will take His judges seat and judgement will be pronounced in favour of the saints of the Most High and they will inherit the kingdom prepared for them from the foundation of the world (Daniel 7:9-14, 18, 21-22, 26-27) (Matthew 25:34). The Messiah will come back to earth. Make no mistake about that! Everything He has not established will be thrown down and completely destroyed forever. The great rock of the Messianic kingdom will smash all of the opposing kingdoms all together at once until nothing of them remains (Daniel 2:34-35, 44-45).
Co-Reigning with the Messiah
After this the Messiah will reign on earth and every born again, blood washed, blood redeemed, blood sanctified, Spirit-filled New Covenant Bible believer will co-reign with their Messiah on earth for a thousand years and then after the Millennial age ends enjoy Him for all of eternity in the New Jerusalem that will come down to earth from heaven! (Revelation 5:10: 21:1-4) This is our blessed hope as New Covenant Spirit-filled Bible believers. As for the Bloody Red Dragon, being Satan, and all who have served him in this present age, they will all be together in the lake of fire for all of eternity from which there will be no reprieve! (Revelation 19:20-21; 20:10-15; 20:8).
