This past week a headline appeared in the online edition of the Gatestone Institute; “Is Trump Being Bamboozled? Islamic State Terrorists Threaten Comeback Thanks to His Support for Syria’s Islamist Leader.” According to the article President Trump in his desire to improve ties with both Turkey and Saudi Arabia has sanctioned and endorsed al-Sharaa’s Islamist regime in Damascus.
In the report it stated; “The result is that al-Sharaa has now set about, at the very least, failing to prevent (here, here and here) wholesale attempts, apparently by his own government’s security forces, to slaughter Syria’s religious and ethnic minorities: Druze, Alawites and Kurds, including America’s presumed allies, the Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces Army (SDF), who courageously defeated Syria’s Islamic State terrorists. Syria’s Christians may well be the al-Sharaa government’s next target.”
Both Turkey and Qatar sanction the self-appointed President of Syria. Al-Sharaa is a Sunni Muslim as are the countries of Turkey and Qatar, which are both advocates and supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Al-Sharaa at present has distanced himself from the Muslim Brotherhood at least in his public persona in his endeavour to be accepted by western leaders as the genuine President of Syria.
At present the control of Islamic State (IS) prisoners incarcerated in Syria has shifted recently due to changes in the political landscape. The Syrian government under al-Sharaa has begun to take over facilities that were previously managed by Kurdish-led forces.
While the U.S. military has started transferring up to 7,000 Islamic State detainees from north-eastern Syria to Iraq, the Syrian government has formed specialized teams to manage the security of these prisons. But are they really doing this?
There have been reports of Islamic State prisoners escaping from prisons in Syria, particularly during clashes between Syrian government forces and Kurdish fighters. The situation remains tense indeed!
In reality there would be nothing stopping the escapees to join up with al-Sharaa’s forces, being all Sunni, and with the same goal to see the whole of Syria under Sunni control.
President Trump has done a lot for Israel; however, we see a disturbing trend in his dealings with the Islamic world. He seems to be “wheeling and dealing” with Israel’s implacable enemies.
Turkey and Qatar and Syria under al-Sharaa are all die-hard Sunni Jihadists that want to see an Islamic caliphate of global proportions under strict Sharia law and also if the truth be known see the eradication of Israel and the Jews.
Western political leaders do not see this or have chosen not to see the Islamization of the west.

Another disturbing trend that is starting to show in President Trump is that he is taking personal credit for the successes in the ongoing Middle-East peace process and boasting of the greatness of America’s armed forces.
He needs our prayers especially with the Mid-Term elections in America in 2026 scheduled for November 3, 2026.
Added to this, Iranian clerics, including Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi, have issued a fatwa calling for the assassination of President Trump, labelling him as an “enemy of God.” This fatwa has garnered significant support and fundraising efforts within Iran.
If for any reason he was not re-elected of even assassinated, the LORD forbid! the western world in effect would be plunged into chaos and the whole Middle-East engulfed in a conflagration unparalleled in past history!
Indeed did not the Messiah our Lord Jesus speak about the time of Great Tribulation when He said; “For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will. Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short” (Matthew 24:21-22).
When we look at how President Trump is seeking to establish relationships with Israel’s enemies can we really believe he has Israel’s interest at heart? Is President Trump indeed being bamboozled by the Islamic practice of Taqiyya?
This Islamic practice involves a Muslim protecting himself in a time of Jihad when threatened or not having the upper hand. It also involves giving an enemy disinformation and misinformation. It is the Islamic art of deception.
Muslims who practice this convey the idea of submission to those who have power over them; however, once they have the upper hand they strike with the deadly swiftness of a poisonous adder!
Where rulers of nations are concerned God has the final say. As we read in the prophet Daniel…
“Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven; Daniel said, “Let the name of God be blessed forever and ever, For wisdom and power belong to Him. “It is He who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men And knowledge to men of understanding. “It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, And the light dwells with Him” (Daniel 2:19b-22).
When God in His sovereign foreknowledge of all things and according to His perfect will gives a man the position of leading a nation He expects that man to seek His wisdom and power to govern aright. That man needs to be aware of the fact that it is God and not man that controls what happens in the heavens and on earth and even under the earth.
Even though God has foreknowledge He still has given that ruler a free will to seek His wisdom and His knowledge to rule wisely.
To that man who seeks God’s wisdom to rule our Triune God will reveal profound and hidden things because He knows what is in the darkness of human desire when men do not acknowledge Him, and also because He is pure untainted light and has infinite foreknowledge of all things and there is no darkness at all dwelling in Him (1 John 1:5).
As we also read in the psalms; “The earth is the LORD’s, and all it contains, The world, and those who dwell in it” (Psalm 24:1).
May the LORD be very gracious to President Trump at this time, have mercy on him, and give him godly advisors in the White House who can counsel him from the Word of God.
As we read in Proverbs; “For lack of guidance, a nation falls, but with many counsellors (Godly ones implied) comes deliverance” (Proverbs 11:14).
At present the American President desperately needs such counsellors to work alongside of him as it would seem he is going in a direction that sees him being bamboozled by the Islamic world, especially by Turkey, Qatar, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Syria, all Sunni supporters, and undoubtedly committed to an Islamic empire of global proportions governed by strict Sharia law.
If the real truth be known, all of these Islamic nations in reality are actually aligned with the ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood which encapsulates the ideology of Islam with its global caliphate in view! Selah.
