Right now the whole of the Middle-East is a powder keg and as un-stable as a crate of Nitro-glycerine. The United States now have a red line drawn that if the Ayatollah regime launch a pre-emptive missile strike on any US naval vessels, US military and airfield bases in the region, and a missile barrage into Israel, that the United States strike force will unleash a missile barrage against Iran.
Now while Iran is adamant that they will respond to such an attack the Gulf States of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, including Turkey and Egypt together want to mediate between Iran and the United States to prevent a regional war which could happen at any moment. Iran’s neighbours do not want an all-out war but also know that any limited strike is off of the table.
Behind the scene intensive negotiations are going on as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Turkey and Egypt are trying to persuade Iran to go for an agreement knowing that a military confrontation will have dire consequences for the entire region. The Iranian regime if attacked has threated to target American bases in the Gulf States.
The Saudis have for many years always feared a missile attack from Iran and wants calm knowing that Iran does not like the Saudis relationship with the west especially with the United States. The Saudis will not allow the use of its airspace for any attack by any party. The United States have a list of demands that they have told the Ayatollah and his henchmen what they must do otherwise face the consequences. These demands are as follows…
1. Iran must end its Nuclear Enrichment making a permanent halt to all uranium enrichment and the complete destruction of Iran’s current highly enriched uranium stockpiles.
2. Iran must curb Ballistic Missiles by applying new, strict limits on its ballistic missile program, specifically targeting weapons with the range to reach Israel and other regional allies.
3. Iran must cease Proxy Support, putting an end to all financial and military support for their regional proxy terrorist groups, including Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza, the Shia Militia terrorist groups in Iraq, and the Houthis in Yemen.
4. Iran must ensure Regional Security by explicitly removing any threat to the security of Israel, with some reports suggesting that “recognition of Israel” has been added as a precondition for any final peace agreement.
Israel is watching very carefully the current situation and it seems Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does not know what the United States will decide to do as yet. The Israeli prime Minister has made it very clear that any act of aggression by Iran against Israel will be met with a devastating response.
Also in the mix are China and Russia both of which support Iran and have been sending them armaments while avoiding any direct conflict with the United States. China supports Iran because it is the world’s largest importer of Iranian crude, purchasing approximately 90% of Iran’s total oil exports, while Russia is still engaged in a war with Ukraine.
Another factor to consider is that approximately 20 million barrels of crude oil, condensate, and petroleum products pass through the Strait of Hormuz daily, representing roughly 20% of total global oil consumption.
As a vital chokepoint, about 25% of the world’s seaborne oil trade flows through this narrow, 21-mile-wide waterway between Iran and Oman. The United States including Europe is also aware of this fact.
Now Israel, knowing the tenuous situation in the region, is now watching their northern border knowing that Hezbollah are preparing for another attack against Israel as part of a simulated united front along with the terrorist groups in Syria and Iraq, not to mention Turkeys ambition to control Syria. The self-proclaimed President of Syria al-Julani of course is controlled by Erdogan and is a threat to Israel as well. Israel is very aware of the atrocities being perpetrated against the Kurds and the Druze Communities by al-Julani’s militias.
Prime Minister Netanyahu knows that any regional conflict that the United States has with Iran and its proxies in the region will bring Israel into the fiery cauldron.
We know from the Word of God that Jerusalem will become centre stage in world affairs and that the final war will be fought over the status of Jerusalem where God will judge the armies of the nations that have attacked and sacked Jerusalem (Joel 3:1-312-16) (Zechariah 12:1-9; 14:1-5) (Ezekiel 38:19-39:1-6).
While Israel have their forces arrayed against Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen the Israelis have a weak point in Jordan.
The border between Jordan and Israel is a very long, continuous stretch of land, spanning approximately 482 kilometres (300 miles). The Israeli military command knows that it is a potential “Achilles heel” for Israel.
A vast majority of the Arab population in Jordan, estimated at over 90% in recent surveys, holds deeply anti-Israel views, particularly concerning normalization of relations, diplomatic recognition, and economic cooperation with Israel.
While the Jordanian government maintains a “cold peace” and diplomatic relations with Israel, popular Arab sentiment is overwhelmingly opposed to the Jews in Israel, especially in the wake of the Gaza war.
In the prophet Isaiah chapter 63:1-6 we are told that the Messiah will fight the armies of Islam in Edom, being modern day Southern Jordan sweeping down into Saudi Arabia, the heart of the Islamic world.
The prophet Isaiah sees the Messiah coming back from Edom and passing through Bozrah located in Southern Jordan with His garments stained with the blood of His enemies (Isaiah 63:1-3b). It is His day of vengeance against Israel’s enemies that go into the winepress of the wrath of God (Isaiah 63:3-6) See also (Revelation 19:11-16) (Joel 3:12-13) (Revelation 14:17-20). All of these passages of scripture are describing the one and the same end-time event. Indeed in that day the Messiah will have Israel’s back!
In the light of the current situation it would seem we are seeing the gathering storm where the nations will ultimately come against Israel as we read about in Ezekiel Chapters 38-39 and in Zechariah Chapters 12 & 14.
When this occurs the armies of the Gentile nations will fall on the Mountains of Israel and go down into the pit of hell in wholesale lots as described in the prophet Ezekiel Chapter 32:17-31. It is interesting to note that all of the nations mentioned are specifically named and today are all Islamic nations.
Even when a false peace is established, primarily in the Middle-East that will affect the Gentile nations to a degree, that peace will be shattered suddenly and without warning when God judges the Messiah hating, Messiah rejecting nations; leading up to and including the Second Coming of the Messiah.
In that day the Messiah our Lord Jesus will destroy all opposition, rescue His saints, deliver Israel and inaugurate the Messianic Millennial kingdom of peace on earth for 1,000 years seated on the throne of David at Jerusalem.
From there He will reign over His kingdom on earth as KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS (1 Thessalonians 5:1-3) (Isaiah 9:6-7) (Isaiah 2:1-5) (Micah 4:1-5) (Isaiah 65:17-25) (Revelation 20:1-6) (Luke 1:32-33). Selah.
