(Isaiah 21:2a) “A Dire vision has been shown to me; The treacherous one still deals treacherously, and the destroyer still destroys. Go up, Elam, lay siege, Media; I have made an end of all the groaning she has caused.”
In an unprecedented move Saudi Arabia and Iran have decided to establish a relationship. It is quite something to see Sunni Saudi Arabia align itself with Shiite Iran. It seems quite clear that the internal strife within the Israeli Knesset and the riots across Israel have caused trepidation in the Arab kingdoms that were once in favour of aligning with Israel for protection from Iran. However it would now seem things have changed, at least on the surface.
As one commentator on the Israel Today website wrote; “Countries around the world and in the region see a divided Israel with a dysfunctional government heading toward self-destruction. And that’s why these countries, which are otherwise at odds themselves, have opted for a new approach. Israel’s enemies have said publicly that Israel has hit rock bottom, and this presents an opportunity for the Arab world. The renewed relations between the Shiites in Tehran and the Sunnis in Riyadh signal a possible new epoch in the Middle East. What brought Israel and the Sunni governments closer was Iran’s nuclear program, which also posed a threat to the Sunni people.”
While the Sunni and Shiite divide has continued for centuries which has seen and still sees Muslims fighting each other, they have come together when they have a common enemy to fight. It would seem that this is what lies behind this amalgamation. We know from the Word of God that the Ezekiel invasion force that will come against Israel in the last days will be an Islamic army. The nations mentioned by name in Ezekiel are all Islamic ones (Ezekiel 38:1-6). In fact all of the nations and geographical regions mentioned in Bible prophecy are all Islamic today.
It is also interesting to note that in Ezekiel Chapter 38 we see that Sheba and Dedan are named as two kingdoms that stand on the sidelines and watch the invasion and do not go to Israel’s aid (Ezekiel 38:13). The geographical regions of Ancient Sheba and Dedan were located in Saudi Arabia, the heart of the Muslim world. In fact God is going to judge Saudi Arabia because they have shed the blood of His saints and shown their indifference regarding Israel’s security.
We see this judgement of God upon Edom, which sweeps on down from Sothern Jordan into Saudi Arabian landmass. The prophet Obadiah clearly reveals why God’s judgement will come upon Edom (Saudi Arabia). See (Obadiah 1:1, 3, 8, 10, 12, 13-14). This initial judgement from God against Saudi Arabia will come at the hands of His people who are His instruments of vengeance against the Saudi Kingdom (Ezekiel 25:12-14).
Ultimately Mecca itself will be hit with Iranian missiles as the Bible also teaches and that the heat will be so intense that the oil reserves under the Saudi desert will burn out of control to the point where the whole region will be uninhabitable because of the pollution and fallout (Isaiah 34:5-10) (Isaiah 13: 19-22) (Jeremiah 49:17-21; 50:39-40). The merchants of the nations that have traded with the Saudis by sea will stand afar off weeping, mourning and wailing because their source of economic wealth has literally ‘gone up in smoke!’ See also (Revelation Chapter 18).
This fiery deluge that will hit Mecca and more than likely the other Arab kingdoms located on the Saudi Arabian Peninsula will be unleashed upon them from Iran, why? Because in the deep mindset of the Jihad centred Iranian regime they see the Saudis as the Harlot of Islam because of its economic ties with the west especially with America the Iranian regime calls “the Great Satan.”
No nation including Saudi Arabia should trust the Iranian regime, as they are experts in the Islamic art of “Taqyyia” (lying to advance or protect Islam and related to “Kitman” which derives from the Arabic word ‘katama’, which is defined as, “to conceal, to hide”). Muslims practice this art of deception and disinformation.
As the prophet Isaiah wrote prophetically; “The oracle concerning the wilderness of the sea (Mecca is a city in a desert by the Red Sea). As windstorms in the Negev sweep on, it comes from the wilderness (desert), from a terrifying land (Iran). A dire vision has been shown to me; The treacherous one still deals treacherously, and the destroyer still destroys (Iran cannot be trusted). Go up, Elam (Persia/Iran), lay siege, Media (Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, and parts of Kermanshah); I have made an end of all the groaning she (the Harlot City Mecca) has caused.” (Expanded version)
Saudi Arabia may well ride on the back of the Iranian ‘beast’ associated with the Islamic beast empire of the Antichrist and the ten nation Islamic confederacy, but this beast will betray the ‘harlot’, loot her and then buck her off of its back and have it for breakfast! Saudi Arabia will become ‘toast!’ (Revelation 17:16-18).
