“While people are saying, “Peace and security,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labour pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape” (1 Thessalonians 5:3).
The Middle East has seen several significant major peace agreements since the rebirth of Israel as a nation in 1948, primarily focused on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and broader Arab-Israeli relations.
In 1978 you had the Camp David Accords which established framework for peace; Egypt recognized Israel; while Israel withdrew from Sinai.
Then in 1993 you had the Oslo Accords where Israel and the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) which established a mutual recognition of the PLO to have self-governance over Gaza but lost its governance when in June 2007 when fighting broke out between Hamas and Fatah forces.
A few days later on June 15, 2007 Hamas completed its takeover, expelling Fatah officials and seizing control of government institutions in Gaza. Following the takeover, Hamas established its own government in Gaza, while Fatah retained control over the West Bank.
Then in 1994 the Israel-Jordan Peace Treaty was signed ending the state of war between and seeking to establish diplomatic relations.
Then in 2000 you had the Camp David Summit which sought to establish final status issues between Israel with the PLO which was ultimately unsuccessful.
Then in 2002 you had the Arab Peace Initiative which was endorsed by the 22 Arab League states that wanted Israel to withdraw from the territories they had regained from the six-day war in 1967 which saw the Israelis gain Judea and Samaria the heartland of Israel (the West Bank), The Gaza Strip, the Golan Heights and to allow the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. Of course if the Israelis agreed to this then it would make Israel indefensible.
Then in 2020 you had the Abraham Accords which saw Israel which saw the Normalization of relations between Israel and several Arab states; focused on economic cooperation. The Arab nations that joined this Accord were the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain and Morocco with Saudi Arabia observing but not joining the Accord.
At present you have the Peace Proposal concerning Gaza brokered by President Trump over who will ultimately govern Gaza after its reconstruction.
There is a proposed framework and proposal on the table but the details remain contentious as the issue with Hamas has not been settled by any means at present. Added to this there are currently unresolved conflicts and disputes over territory, refugees and the status of Jerusalem.
Several Arab nations have expressed their support for Donald Trump’s 20 point 2025 peace plan aimed at ending the war in Gaza. The following countries have officially welcomed the proposal: Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey, Indonesia and Pakistan.
The foreign ministers of these nations released a joint statement affirming their confidence in Trump’s efforts to end the conflict, prevent the displacement of Arab citizens in Gaza, and advance a comprehensive peace. Even the PLO welcomed the plan while insisting on the two-state solution from hell!
Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt met with Donald Trump to sign a peace agreement aimed at ending the conflict in Gaza during a summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, on October 13, 2025. This agreement, known as “The Trump Declaration for Enduring Peace and Prosperity,” emphasizes the need for lasting peace and cooperation between Gazan citizens and Israelis.
It may well be that the time of false peace in the Middle-Eastern Region will come about and the political leaders in Europe, Great Britain, Canada, Australia, and across Asia will all be breathing a sigh of relief. However the undercurrent in this whole scenario and the brutal reality is that you cannot make peace with Islam!
Hamas is a wing of the Muslim Brotherhood. Qatar is an advocate of the Muslim Brotherhood and support the terrorist organization financially and still leaves its doors open to entertain Hamas and other terrorist leaders.
Erdogan of Turkey is an advocate and supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood and an antagonist against Israel and supports the al-Julani terrorist regime in Syria backed by Turkey fighting the Kurds and killing and persecuting the Druze and Christian communities.
As for Egypt they are no friends of Israel either. Egypt has been involved in several wars with Israel, including the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, the 1956 Suez Crisis, the 1967 Six-Day War, and the 1973 Yom Kippur War. These conflicts highlight the long-standing tensions between the two nations.
Why would President Trump, the so called leader of the free world sign any deal these countries that in reality want to see Israel destroyed as a nation?
President Trump is basking in the accolades he is receiving from Israel and from world leaders for his record breaking deal in the Middle-East, and due credit must go to his negotiation skills in making it possible for the remaining living Israeli hostages to come home to Israel, even though there are still the bodies of murdered Israelis remaining in Gaza.
As for world peace you still have Russia’s war with Ukraine and the genocide of Christians in Nigeria, the persecution of Christians in Syria, Eretria, Sudan, India, Pakistan, China and North Korea. These regions are currently experiencing severe violations of religious freedom, with Christians facing existential threats. Can President Trump broker peace deals in these situations?
The big picture it seems to be immerging is that the wealth for the long term stabilization of the world’s economy is primarily centred in Israel, especially when you see the three Natural gas Fields being Tamar, Leviathan and Karish located in the Mediterranean Sea off shore from Gaza in Israel.
President Trump, like all of the other politicians of the western democracies it would seem does not really know the Jihadist mindset of Islam. They are being hoodwinked by the Islamic practice of Taqiyya. In Sura 3:28 of the Quran its main thrust advises believers not to take disbelievers as allies over fellow believers, except in cases of precaution. It emphasizes that those who do so have no connection with Allah, highlighting the importance of Islamic faith and loyalty among its believers.
According to what Rabbi the apostle Paul writes there is going to be a settled peace in the Middle-East which will affect the nations of the world to a greater or lesser degree and for a time people will be breathing a sigh of relief.
However, the peace will be short lived when the day of so called peace will be suddenly and without warning terminated by the Day of the LORD which will be preceded by a time of great distress or tribulation, unequalled from the beginning of the world until now- and never to be equalled again. If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect (Jewish and Gentile New Covenant believers) those days will be shortened (Matthew 24:21-22).
At this time Israel will be centre stage on the world’s stage being rocked by tribulation and God will ‘go to bat’ for his covenant people. Michael the archangel of war and Israel’s protector will go to Israel’s defence.
As the prophet Daniel writes; “At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered” (Daniel 12:1).
There will be no lasting peace in this world until the Messiah our Lord Jesus returns to Israel to sit on David’s throne at Jerusalem after He has destroyed all opposition. Only when the Prince of Peace reigns over the nations that have survived His Second Coming, will there be a true and lasting peace in the whole world!
As Isaiah the prophet writes concerning the Messiah our Lord Jesus… “For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this (Isaiah 9:6-7).
