(Isaiah 31:5) “Like birds hovering overhead, so the LORD of Hosts will protect Jerusalem. He will shield it and deliver it; He will pass over it and preserve it.”
U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday earlier this week vowed the U.S. would “take over” the Gaza Strip, reconstructing and developing the coastal enclave into “the Riviera of the Middle East” while moving part of its population to other countries.
The comments that shattered several decade-old accepted outlines of Middle East policy came during Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to the White House, making him the first foreign leader to visit the new U.S. president since his inauguration.
The announcement sent a shockwave through the entire Arab Muslim world!
Saudi Arabia, a supposed ally of Israel, is not happy with President Trump’s proposed plan to remove the Arab population from the Gaza Strip to a new geographical location in order to renovate and rebuild Gaza, but not allowing the Arab citizens that were living in Gaza to return.
According to one report online the Saudi Foreign Ministry made the following statement…
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the Kingdom’s position on the establishment of the Palestinian state is firm, steadfast and unwavering, and that this firm position is not subject to negotiation or outbidding.
The Kingdom’s countries also stress what they have previously announced regarding their categorical rejection of any infringement on the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, whether through Israeli settlement policies, annexation of Palestinian lands, or efforts to displace the Palestinian people from their land.
The duty of the International community today is to work to alleviate the severe human suffering endured by the Palestinian people, who will remain committed to their land and will not budge from it.”
Since the start of the war in Gaza, Riyadh has demanded a more irreversible path to so called ‘Palestinian’ statehood. Saudi officials stress that any deal must include clear steps towards a Palestinian state.
While the Kingdom continues engaging with the Trump Administration it maintains its principles and stance on seeing a Palestinian state.
While Trumps Administration team are trying to mediate ‘a deal’ that satisfies both sides’ conditions the Saudis dismissed President Trump’s claim that ‘Palestinian’ statehood is not a condition for peace.
President Trump wants to relocate the population of Gaza into an area in the region where they can rebuild their lives and future, but not to return to Gaza.
Both Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Trump know that having a ‘Palestinian state’ or a two-state solution would not only continue to deprive the Arab population in Gaza of basic necessities and prolong their suffering living in the ruins of decimated ruins, but also remain the breeding ground for Hamas terrorists.
In the press conference Prime Minister Netanyahu reiterated the three goals of the Israeli government…
These goals are to destroy Hamas’ military and governing capabilities, to secure the release of all the hostages, and to ensure that Gaza never again poses a threat to Israel.
The Saudis have reiterated that it won’t form ties with Israel without a ‘Palestinian’ state while Prime Minister Netanyahu still believes that normalisation with Saudi Arabia is still achievable without a Palestinian state.
The irony of this situation is that Gaza’s Arab neighbours including Egypt and Jordan do not want the Gazan Arab civilians in their countries.
The Arab kingdoms know full well that to have Gazan citizens settle in their lands would import a terrorist element that are well skilled in mingling in with civilians and ‘hell-bent’ on terrorist acts.
Added to this, Hamas has made it clear that they want to repeat the bloody butchery perpetrated against the Israelis on October 7/2023.
Prime Minister Netanyahu is right. Hamas must be eliminated!
The reality of the whole situation in the Middle-East is that the Muslim nations want Jerusalem and the whole land of Israel for Islam and to subjugate, expel and to kill Jews in the interest of propagating Islamic sovereignty over the Holy land.
Both Prime Minster Netanyahu and President Trump may seek to do ‘a deal for peace’ in the region of the Middle-East, and even if they succeed to a degree, it will not last.
The Saudis and the whole Islamic world will continue to resist President Trump’s plan for Gaza because in their deep minds they all want Jerusalem for Islam. This is the reality!
Even though Turkey hosts Hamas terrorists, Turkey will have no place for the Arab citizens of Gaza. When the Arab Muslim nations are not fighting with a common enemy, they go to fighting with each other because Ishmael’s decedents will always be divided.
As the LORD says…
“He (Ishmael) will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone’s hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers” (Genesis 16:12). This describes the Arab nations to this day.
The only real reason the Saudis curry favour with Israel is to protect themselves from Iran which has the Saudis in the crosshairs of Iranian missile sites.
Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, Iran, and every other Islamic nation arrayed against Israel will never have permanent sovereignty over Jerusalem or the land of Israel.
True and lasting peace will only come when the Prince of Peace, Israel’s saviour and Messiah, the Passover Lamb Himself, sits on David’s throne at Jerusalem as the King of Jews with the government of the whole world resting upon His shoulders. (Isaiah9:6-7).
As Isaiah the prophet writes concerning the final destiny of Judah (Judea and Samaria) and Jerusalem…
“Now it will come about that in the last days The Mountain (nation) of the house of the LORD (Israel) will be established as the chief of the mountains (nations), and will be raised above the hills (rulers); and all the nations will stream to it.
And many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; That He may teach us concerning His ways and that we may walk in His paths.”
For the law (Torah) will go forth from Zion and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And He (the Messiah) will judge between the nations, and will render decisions for many peoples; and they will hammer their swords into ploughshares and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will not lift up sword against nation, and never again will they learn war. Come, house of Jacob, and let us walk in the light of the LORD” (Isaiah 2:2-5).
