According to a report in the online edition of All Israel News yesterday on January 24 / 2025 it stated;
“The deadline for the IDF’s withdrawal from southern Lebanon on Sunday, Jan. 26 is fast approaching, and according to several media reports in recent days, Israel seeks to extend the deadline to have more time to destroy terror infrastructure and find weapons caches.
The Israeli request is currently being discussed by all parties to the ceasefire enforcement mechanism, which includes the U.S., France, Lebanon, and several other nations.
Somewhat surprisingly, the Trump administration reportedly opposes Israel’s request and expects it to fulfil the terms of the agreement, according to Army Radio. This is despite the fact that even the Biden administration reportedly considered supporting an extension of 30 days.”
In order to ‘make America great again’ according to President Trump’s public declaration, and in all the euphoria surrounding the New Presidency of the United States of America, the question still remains will President Trump in time “throw Israel under the bus?”
Judging by his past support for Israel when he was in office and the things he brought about for Israel cannot be denied; hopefully he will stay the course in his presidency where Israel’s security and welfare is concerned.
However, we read in the Word of God what He says to His people Israel…
“Do not trust in princes, in mortal man, in whom there is no salvation. His spirit departs, he returns to the earth; in that very day his thoughts perish. How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, Whose hope is in the Lord his God” (Psalm 146:3-5).
As it is also written…
“He (the LORD) does not delight in the strength of the horse; He does not take pleasure in the legs of a man. The Lord favours those who fear Him, Those who wait for His lovingkindness” (Psalm 147:10-11).
God has put President Trump once again into the Oval Office and hopefully he will seek God’s wisdom and power to govern (Daniel 2:20-22).
However, Israel must look to the LORD and not to man. PM Benjamin Netanyahu has also been God’s man for Israel at this time. The pressure on him to compromise his convictions must be very great. This latest hostage deal promoted by President Trump is not “The Art of the Deal” for Israel.
PM Benjamin Netanyahu’s enemies are many, both without and within Israel’s political arena. He needs our prayers, not only to have God’s wisdom and power to govern, but that he might come to a saving faith in the Yeshua HaMashiach, the Passover Lamb sacrificed for the sins of His people and for the sins of the whole world.
The Time of Jacob’s Trouble still lies ahead for Israel, but at the end of this time of The Big Trouble the faithful remnant of Israel chosen by God’s foreknowledge and grace will be saved out of it when they encounter the Messiah at His Second Coming and are saved.
He who has been destined to sit on the throne of David as Israel’s King, and who will rule the nations with a rod of iron! (Jeremiah 30:1-10) (Zechariah 12:10-13:1; 13:8-9) (Luke 1:32-33) (Isaiah 9:7) (Revelation 19:14-16) (Romans 9:27) (Isaiah 9:27) (Romans 11:25-29).
“O Israel put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with Him is full redemption. He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins” (Psalm 130:7-8).
“O Israel, do not trust in “The Art of the Deal” for any ‘deal’ or plan concocted by man without consulting the LORD will fail, but trust in the LORD!”
As the LORD declares through the prophet Isaiah…
“Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please” (Isaiah 46:8-10).
