About this Ministry

(1/9/2017) Welcome to the new user friendly website of “Blow the Trumpet in Zion” which has been revised and updated. This is a Bible Teaching website with Bible Prophecy and Biblical Foundation Teaching. The purpose of the Bible Prophecy articles is to seek a deeper understanding of what God has already revealed in His Word about the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Last days. Today God is unsealing what has been sealed up for many centuries. What you see happening in the Middle-East today and especially where the nation of Israel is concerned is all part of God’s Biblical and Prophetic plan and purposes for Israel, for the Church and for the world.

Prophecy is a Unique Feature of the Bible

Prophecy itself is a unique feature of the Bible and the mark that He is the true God. He said through the prophet Isaiah; “See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you” (Isaiah 42:9) and again God said through Isaiah; “I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times what is to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please” (Isaiah 46:10).

We must not ignore Bible Prophecy

We must not ignore or treat lightly the prophecies of scripture especially what Jesus tells us about the time of the end. If we avoid taking Bible Prophecy seriously then we will not be ready for the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We must hear, love and obey the truth of God’s Word to spiritually survive in these last days! I trust the teaching in this prophecy section of the website will help you to understand more clearly and thoughtfully what God is revealing today through Bible Prophecy as set out in the unchanging and Eternal Word of God!

The nescessity of Biblically Foundational doctrines

The articles on Biblical Foundations relate to the fundamental doctrines of the Bible which many no longer hold as being the inspired Word of God. The LORD  Himself is very clear about the integrity, the power, the absolute authority and the accuracy of His Word the Bible. God Himself has said; “So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11).

A Clear warning about tampering with God’s Word

We are clearly warned by God in the Bible not to add to or to take away from His Word which many are doing today. As it is written; “Do not go beyond what is written” (1 Corinthians 4:6). Again it is written; “You shall not add to the Word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you” (Deuteronomy 4:2). Again God says to Moses; “Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it” (Deuteronomy 12:32). As it also says in Proverbs; “Do not add to His words, or He will rebuke you and prove you a liar” (Proverbs 30:6).

The Final authority in matters of doctrine and Christian living

So then if we accept the authority of the Lord Jesus we must accept the whole of the Bible as being in its entirety the Word of God. The apostles themselves held to the same conviction as the Lord Jesus did regarding the final authority and inerrancy of the Scriptures. “All Scripture is inspired by God (God-Breathed) and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16)

The Bible is a Unique Book

The Bible is a unique book. Its teaching about the nature and character of God, The Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit is perfectly consistent in both Testaments even though many of the books of the Old Testament were written hundreds of years apart. The prophecies of the Bible have proven to be 100% accurate.

Revelation from the Spirit of God

Finally, there must be a revelation of the Spirit to our minds and hearts of its validity. Spiritual things will never be understood by the natural mind. Paul himself said this; “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:12-16).

I trust you will find this website encouraging, challenging and edifying.

Shalom in and through our Lord Jesus Christ.
